Prep Ho[program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] Indiana had boots on the ground coverage throughout the weekend in Fort Wayne for the annual Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam. This event is always the premier recruiting and evaluation event of the spring and that certainly was the case again this year. We really value the opportunity to see so many teams from the Hoosier state, from across several different shoe/independent circuits, come together to play in one event. Over the next few days we will be pumping a lot of content from the Run N Slam. In this first article let's take a look at some of the Class of 2026 prospects from the state of Indiana that jumped out as potential stock-risers or new names over the weekend.

A 6'1" guard poised for a breakout senior season to come at Fishers High School, Breland exploded for 29 points in one game over the weekend for [program_tooltip program_id='2470527' first='Indy' last='Heat Red'] at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam. The under-the-radar athletic guard finished with 19 points in another game showcasing his ability to get to the rim off of the dribble consistently. He was an athletic finisher with both hands and showed off a smooth shooting stroke when left open on the perimeter.

Being very consistent is a great trait for a point guard to have and that is a perfect way to describe Brown's game for LVL UP - Baumgartner. He is a talented playmaker, capable shooter, and good finisher at the end of his drives. Regardless of the setting or competition level it seems that Brown provides the same level of steady play on both ends of the floor and that is very much a complement to his ability as a floor general. The Heritage High School product was a big part of his team's success over the weekend at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam.

We highlighted Ezell as one of our Sunday standouts after watching him light it up for LVL UP - Latham. However, his consistent scoring output throughout the weekend earned him another shoutout in this write up. The talented guard from New Haven High School had performances of 26, 27, and 28 points while shooting the ball making a total of 12 three-point shots in those three games alone. Under-the-radar Class of 2026 prospect to watch heading into the summer months.

Grau started the weekend off on Friday evening with a massive individual performance scoring 25 points for 5Star - Beadles. The 6'3" wing caught the attention of several college coaches throughout the weekend utilizing his combination of skill and size. He is a physical player that gets to the rim off of the dribble, plays through contact, and uses his size to dominant smaller defenders. Grau had a few other very good performances at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam, but what he did to start the weekend really stuck with us.

Fresh off of an excellent junior season that included winning a Sectional championship at Columbia City High School, Marshall put together a strong weekend for [program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] - UA Rise. The versatile 6'3" guard finished the weekend off scoring 15 points to lead his team to victory. Marshall has the positional size and strength to be a real matchup problem for opposing defenses while maintaining some perimeter skill to keep them honest. Intriguing college prospect for coaches to watch through the summer.

We had the chance to get eyes on [program_tooltip program_id='2383637' first='Summit' last='City Elite'] Black 17u on Sunday morning in a win and Penrod was the best player on the floor for much of the game. He displayed his versatility while knocking in a pair of catch-and-shoot three-point shots, using his strength to power his way to the rim off of the dribble, and finishing a couple of offensive rebound putbacks. The DeKalb High School product plays with a great motor on both ends of the floor and really brought the energy while we were watching.

[program_tooltip program_id='2400000' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Indiana'] ended up falling by one point at the buzzer to [program_tooltip program_id='2076451' first='D1' last='Indiana'] on Sunday afternoon, but there was a stretch in the second half where Prior took over the game and nearly led his team to victory. The versatile 6'5" wing showcased his ability to score in a variety of ways as he knocked in a pull-up jump shot, attacked down hill and finished with his right hand, got to the free throw line, and finished an offensive rebound putback. The combination of fluid athleticism, length, and skill level should keep Prior, from Heritage Hills High School, on some college radars this summer.

A talented scorer from Goshen High School that can really fill it up from beyond the arc, Sawatzky had a big performance on Saturday night leading [program_tooltip program_id='2485821' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last='']' last='UA Rise'] to victory to begin bracket play. The 6'2"-6'3" guard scored a team-leading 16 points in that contest and had a couple of other good scoring outputs across the weekend. What he can do off of dribble as a creator, paired with his catch and shoot ability, makes him an interesting prospect to follow going into the summer months.
