It was a very impressive shot-making display for Sawatzky on Sunday at the Hoosier Basketball Magazine Top 60 Workout. The Goshen High School product is an excellent three-point shooter and more than held his own as a perimeter scoring threat against some of the other best talent in the state. Sawatzky will stay home and attend Goshen College where he should have a chance to be a difference-maker from day one.

In terms of under-the-radar pure scorers, Sawatzky would be near the top of the list. We know he is a knockdown shooter as proven by his 63-168 (37.5%) mark he put up as a junior at Goshen High School. However, through this spring and summer he has really shown his all-around offensive game. At 6’3″, Sawtzky has a good, physical build on the perimeter which he uses to finish around the basket at the end of his drives. The threat of his outside shooting opens up plenty of those opportunities as well. He jumped 20 spots to #72 in this rankings update.

We know that Sawatzky is a very good outside shooter, but the 6’3″ guard from Goshen High School was really using his size and strength to dominate other guards off of the dribble on Sunday. He is a pure all-around scorer with impressive measurables on the perimeter. Look for Sawatzky to continue to be highly sought after by small college programs heading into his senior season.

Sawatzky really stood out in the game we watched of OPS 17u on Saturday evening at UA Rise Session I. The guard from Goshen High School has impressive positional size and a strong build while also being able to really stroke it from beyond the arc. He knocked in four three-point shots on his way to 19 points in one contest. Talented offensive player with some big time shot-making ability from the perimeter.

Despite leading Goshen High School in scoring as a sophomore with 14.8 points per game, this 6’2″ guard has still flown under-the-radar statewide throughout the spring. Sawatzky is an excellent shooter and that is what stands out right away about his game offensively. He made 51 three-point shots at a 38.1% clip during the high school season and has impressed with his range and quick release this spring with Kyle Guy Elite Black. Look for Sawatzky to have a big summer and start to make his name known going into his junior season. He should break into our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2026 Top 100 when our next update is released.

Admittedly, I don’t know if I had seen this Goshen High School product play in person prior to Saturday at the Adidas May Classic. However, Sawatzky confirmed everything I had seen on film and heard about his game with the way he shot the ball for Kyle Guy Elite Black 2026. The 6’2″ guard made a couple of deep pull-up three-point shots off of the dribble and constantly puts pressure on the defense with his shooting ability. Averaged a team-leading 14.8 points per game as a sophomore at Goshen while making 51 three-point shots at a 38% clip.
