The Elite Blue Chips squad had a respectable showing during the weekend. This squad is a nice combination of WV and Kentucky players who look as though they've meshed together quite well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2726638' first='CJ' last='Waller'] was in front of me for the first time in person and it was a pleasant surprise. Waller does an excellent job of being a physical presence and rebounding. His scoring is definitely there but with so many weapons he wasn't heavily depended on. I could see the basketball IQ and instincts, and believe he will be a very good player going forward after the experience Big Shots provides.

[player_tooltip player_id='1745587' first='Elijah' last='Neel'] was yet again not just one of the best 2027 performers of the weekend but one of the best in the entire event. He scores it any way you want it and does it at top speed no matter what defender is standing in his way. Got to witness a couple dazzling performances of his, he's a must see.

[player_tooltip player_id='2865387' first='Kirk' last='Akers'] who we've already mentioned in the 2028 article did double duty playing up to provide bench help with the 2027 squad. Kirk played the same role for the most part but was able to knock down a couple key shots in meaningful moments for the 16U squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='2690991' first='Konnor' last='Fox'] is who many folks have been interested in hearing about, especially after the state tournament. Fox in my opinion is doing exactly what he should be, seeking high level competition in opponents his size or bigger. That was the case in Rock Hill but Fox doesn't back down or shy away. He played physical and through some adversity. Overall I thought he did some excellent things and showed some growth as a player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1745588' first='Lake' last='Adkins'] was a key player for this squad as he kind of served as the swiss army knife on defense and offense. Showing great versatility, Adkins definitely made a huge difference in games as he was a willing rebounder and capable scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2891789' first='Zade' last='Rash'] was the picture of consistency scoring 13, 16 and closing out the weekend with 14 points. Rash gets to his spots and finds his shots as well as compliments other players quite well with what he offers.
