May 2nd-4th I attended the annual Bash in the Desert at the Phhacility and Cortez HS locations. It had exactly 60 teams total and I watched almost every team in 17U and 16U and some of the 15U teams to form a good opinion of the field.

Here is my 3rd team All-Individual Teams for 17U:

[player_tooltip player_id='2423151' first='Ehikue' last='Asemota'] Dream City Christian (Peak 17 National)

An active scoring guard can score with threes off the catch, pull-ups off the dribble from mid-range and dunks on the break. He can hit the three and he is an active multiple positional defender. He smartly moves the ball and makes the right decisions each game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1571923' first='Koreon' last='Head-Holbrook'] Ironwood (AZ Legacy 17)

A high motored defensive scoring guard can defend multiple positions. He is tough to rebound and collects steals. He will score with catch and shoot threes, get downhill and score on offensive rebound put backs. A true glue guy for the Eagles who can score.

[player_tooltip player_id='2344608' first='Kofi' last='Idris'] Bella Vista Prep (Team Supreme 17)

A face-up power forward who is a top notch shot blocker. He is a very good passer and moves the ball. He is a strong two-handed rebounder and is stout on defense who will hold his ground in the paint versus bigger players. He will step out and shoot the three comfortably off the catch and slip to the basket for a bucket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595013' first='Seraphin' last='Iradukunda'] Taylor Made Prep (Steelers Elite 17)

A long and tall face-up power forward or center. He has a live body and will alter or block shots in bunches. When his motor is on high he rebounds out of his area. He can hit the three off the dribble or catch and take long strides to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2175387' first='Kaden' last='Northrup'] Horizon/CO (Morgan Dawgs 17)

A physical point guard guided his team all weekend long. He is tough and loves to go downhill. He will score it with deep threes off the catch with high arcing release. He is also very tough on the ball defensively and competes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763998' first='Jacai' last='Reed'] Williams Field (Steelers Elite 17)

A super skilled scoring point guard can score in bunches. He can make plays for his teammates with good passing skills but he is wired to score. He will rattle in threes plus score with high tear drops making him difficult to defend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2432454' first='Sekou' last='Sackor'] Centennial (AZ Select 17 James Bronze)

An athletic combo guard is quick and active. He scores with transition dunks, back door layups, threes off the catch and the lefty is a good passer. He is a stud in the open court and will throw it down above the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1875481' first='Isaiah' last='Smith'] Pinnacle (Peak 17 National)

A long wing who is quickly improving. He is a natural defender with long arms and quicker feet but his improved frame is helping him rebound using his length and size. He is great in the passing lanes and runs the court in transition for easy scores. He will score with baseline drives and catch and shoot threes with range. A future 3 and D type.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146241' first='Creighton' last='Wirth'] Campo Verde ([program_tooltip program_id='2422356' first='3D' last='Hoops'] 17)

A scoring combo guard was one of the top shooters on the 17U division. He will catch and shoot from the three point line and rattle in triples. The lefty gets it off his hands so quick but will also give a hard ball fake and get to the basket. You rarely see him take a bad shot and moves the ball for open shots.
