April AAU Eye-Catchers

Ellis is a crafty guard is puts his fingerprints all over the game with his balanced play. He gets paint touches with ease and is great at picking and choosing his spots. He has no problem sacrificing his body for the good of the team. He flat out knows how to play.     Shaffer who is known as a perimeter marksman showed his expanded floor game scoring in the mid-range. He is becoming more active on the glass. Shaffer also can start the break for his team which can lead to quick buckets for teammates. He looks to have gotten more stronger over the last several months.     Achufusi impressed with his ability to find the bucket effortlessly. He is a threat from the perimeter cashing in on attempts throughout the game. Achufusi is patient getting to different spots off the bounce. He is able to use his broad frame to bully his way to spots. The southpaw has a smooth green light release that looks like it can go in anytime he touches the rock. Locking forward to tracking his progress over several seasons.     Brown is a smooth operating scorer who has a great pulse of the game. He can play on or off the ball. Anytime he has the rock in his hands he can make something happen. He also is elite playing out of ball screens and can change gears and angles with the best of them. He processes the game at a high level and is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers.     Chatham does a good job running the team and is an extension of the coach on the floor. He was able to score from different spots on the floor. Chatham gets paint touches effortlessly. He would be a good pickup at the division two or JUCO level.     Cox is an active body forward who makes a living on the interior. He has great touch around the bucket and converts often inside of 10 feet. He also finds ways to gather rebounds. Cox is assertive at rim running in transition. He plays a lot bigger than his size. He has a great motor.
