Olympus, Titans

The Titans will try and defend their 5A State Championship. The Titans have been working with a formula that is basically next man up and their players do a great job working in their system and waiting for their turn to step up. They will be led by the dynamic PG [player_tooltip player_id='1278502' first='Gavin' last='Lowe'] who is one of the toughest covers in the state. Lowe has all the skills you need to make a run again as a three-level scoring PG. He is a change of speed and a downhill attacking lead guard who is not easy to keep in-front. Lowe will have help from [player_tooltip player_id='1278441' first='Caden' last='Jackson'] who was solid last year and was hitting timely buckets from beyond the arc, Jackson plays with great pace and could easily be the second option and at times the number one option that Lowe will be looking for. [player_tooltip player_id='1724356' first='Davian' last='Lazarus'] adds multidemeantional height and a skill set that allows him to play up on a trap or zone. He can play the big but also play out in the perimeter. If he could find consistent scoring spots he has a PG that can get him the ball anywhere.

New names that will emerge are players like Luka Milas a wing that is about 6'4 and that can shoot the ball well. He could easily fill a void in the scoring department. Matt McConkie at around 6'5 or 6'6 could help with assignments defending taller players. Olympus will be a tough team come next season.

Timpview, T-Birds

Timpview on paper will be very tough to beat and they will have be playing under a new coach this coming season. Inheriting one of the best players in the West in [player_tooltip player_id='1278448' first='Dean' last='Rueckert'] should be exciting as Rueckert is a SF that can stretch the floor and also put the ball on the floor and attack. Rueckert is one those highly recruited high major prospects. He is not alone as he has some solid players on the team including one the best stock rising stretch bigs in Will Openshaw a player that is just starting to hit his stride. Openshaw is a MM/LM prospect that has a few D1 offers under his belt. [player_tooltip player_id='1278505' first='Mason' last='Ford'] is a solid PG with length and skill. Top to bottom Timpview has players that can step in and make an impact. A player that couldmake a big difference will be [player_tooltip player_id='1960161' first='Callen' last='Tollestrup'], with length and shooting ability, he could be a game changer against teams that do not have size, he could really put pressure on a team.

New names will be Linclon Holcombe and [player_tooltip player_id='1960162' first='Jackson' last='Palmer'] that could really move the needle and on paper this team could be the best in the state. They will be a very tough team to beat.

Highland, Rams

It looks like the Rams will be moving to 4A and that likely makes them the team to beat in 4A and 4A has some solid teams. The Rams are another team that has a loaded roster but they will will go as [player_tooltip player_id='1278450' first='Isaiah' last='Drisdom'] goes as he is the straw that stirs the drink. Impressive development from [player_tooltip player_id='1278440' first='Soren' last='Ries'] as he could be a big time game changer for the Rams this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1969236' first='Bodie' last='Dodge'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1598266' first='Jordan' last='Oberholtzer']. This team can get up and down the floor and they can also play in the half-court.

New name that could be a player that makes an impact is Grady Lee. Highland's starting 5 will be really good.

Davis, Darts

The Davis Darts could easily be the team to beat in 6A once again as they try to defend their 6A State Championship. They will have two guards that could be a 1-2 punch in [player_tooltip player_id='1278451' first='JT' last='Turley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1611276' first='Bode' last='Sparrow']. Both players have motors and play that dart uptempo style of play. Traddon Bessinger is going to be the game changer for this team to repeat as well. The darts should have more names emerge.

New name that is improving and another youngster making a name for himself is [player_tooltip player_id='2194676' first='Owen' last='Barney'] this kid has improved over the past few years. A true CG that can step out and shoot the rock.

Layton, Lancers

The Lancers will be led by start guard [player_tooltip player_id='1724368' first='Karter' last='Miller'] and although he might be one of the only top scorers returning the lancers have many players waiting in the fold ready for their turn to put some points on the board. The player we are excited to watch is [player_tooltip player_id='2716619' first='Chase' last='Randall']. The Lancer could get a lot form Randall a player with some size on the wing. They also have [player_tooltip player_id='2539689' first='Jack' last='Godderidge'] who could be impactful this coming season.

New name that could easily fit in and make an impact is Nic Anderson. Layton is a team that will reload.
