LADERA RANCH — The Open Gym Premier facility in Ladera Ranch, Calif. played host to the first 3SSB session of the club season. Adidas sponsored teams from the west coast and beyond came to Southern California for a four-game live period tune up. Below are the standout non-California guards we watched on the 16u level.

Gibson Kinnebrew | 2027 | [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']

Kinnebrew is a do-it-all prospect whose combination of explosive vertical athleticism and aggressiveness in the open court stood out in his ability to generate transition offense and finish at and above the rim. The 6-foot-3 sophomore also showed the ability to stretch the floor to the three-point line with catch-and-shoot threes. Kinnebrew's motor and willingness to defend and rebound rounded out his impressive weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126102' first='Jaeden' last='Udean'] | 2027 | [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']

Udean can really fill up the scoring column from the perimeter. The 6-foot-2 lefty has fluid shooting mechanics both off the catch and on the move, doesn't need much time or space to get his shot off and has unwavering confidence in his ability to make shots. Udean knocked down a handful of deep three-point shots and some contested one's as well.

Jalen Davis | 2027 | Beauchamp Elite

Davis seems to like playing in Southern California as he put on another impressive display of scoring and passing over the weekend. We first watched Davis at the MADE Hoops West Mania event and it was clear then that he's a Division 1 caliber point guard. What he did at 3SSB Session I only verified that. The 6-foot-3 sophomore scores on pull-up jumpers, crafty at-rim finishes and creates for himself and teammates in isolation and transition offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2524650' first='Kwatamah' last='Silikpoh'] | 2027 | [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']

Silikpoh was one of the best floor general point guards we saw on the weekend regardless of class. The 5-foot-9 sophomore has elite speed with the ball in transition, was always under control when pushing the tempo and never got sped up when pressured in half-court offense. Silikpoh used his speed and acceleration to earn paint touches where he sprayed the ball out to open teammates with an unselfish approach.

Lee Robinson | 2028 | ETG

Robinson showed some advanced playmaking instincts, especially when pushing the tempo in transition and using his speed to get into the lane, collapse the defense and kick to an open shooter or hit a cutter for a layup. The 6-foot point guard also used his explosive first-step burst and crafty ball-handling to get to the rim or create space from defenders for an off-bounce jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146175' first='LJ' last='Diamond'] | 2027 | Dream Vision

Diamond is one of the more talented shot-makers out west in the 2027 class and that was on full display over the weekend. Offense comes easy to the 6-foot-3 off-guard as his combination of strength and athleticism allow him to be physical to the rim and score through or above contact. Diamond also has smooth perimeter feel that he uses to get defenders out of position so he can hunt his spots for pull-up jumpers.

Tyson Ary-Turner | 2029 | Beauchamp Elite

Ary-Turner is such an important piece for Beauchamp Elite because of how he can orchestrate the offense with a high basketball IQ. The class of 2029 point guard brought poise and confidence to the floor and ran the show without turning the ball over and was unbothered by pressure.
