3SSB Session I: Seven Standout 17u Forwards/Centers

Adidas sponsored teams from the west coast and beyond came to Southern California for a four-game live period tune up. Below are the standout forwards and centers we watched on the 17u level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">Abdou Toure | 2026 | BABC</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Toure was one of the more physical and explosive finishers we saw on the weekend. The 6-foot-6 forward got to the rim at-will, sought out contact and used his strong frame to absorb and finish through it. Toure showed the ability to rebound the defensive glass, push the break and attack the basket on straight-line drives.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">Alexander Egbuonu | 2026 | BABC</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Egbuonu is an interesting prospect as he combines a combination of strength, physicality and explosiveness to go along with perimeter shooting ability off the catch. Egbuonu is a high motor guy who can slash off the ball and finish at the rim or use his ball skills and physical tools to take advantage of mismatches. The 6-foot-6 junior can also stretch the floor to the three-point line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">Arafan Diane | 2026 | Iowa United</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Simply put, Diane is a massive human being. The 7-foot, 300-pound center is tough to stop at the high school level because of his sheer size and strength advantages to go along with his skilled footwork and soft touch around the basket. The junior averaged a double-double on the weekend with 15.3 points and 10 rebounds per game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1612468' first='Cameron' last='Williams'] | 2026 | Compton Magic</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Williams is one of the highest upside prospects in the 2026 class with his combination of size, length, fluid athleticism and defensive presence. The long, wiry 6-foot-11 forward protected the rim at a high level all weekend by blocking, altering and deterring shots around the basket while also showing the ability to execute multiple ball screen coverages. The 6-foot-9 lefty out-works his opponents on the offensive and defensive boards and when getting out and running the floor in transition.
