The opening stop of the Midwest Prep Hoops Circuit took place outside of Indianapolis this past weekend. After giving a pretty diverse geographic covering of the field. I'll turn my attention the southernmost represented state with great state of Kentucky

[player_tooltip player_id='2360954' first='Nick' last='Prater'] 6-4 Perry County Central (pictured) Prater had an excellent weekend earning multiple mentions from me and other scouts at the event. Why not one more for good measure? It's not supposed to matter, but just looks and carries himself like an athlete. When the ball tips you quickly see the game goes deeper than just the surface. Has an electric first step that even appeared to trick officials at times. Got called for a few travels on quick starting drives that I didn't agree with. Fundamentally sound and almost automatically catches the ball in the triple threat position. Put up 11 points in a loss to undefeated Nova Village. Saved the best for last though with a 19 point outing to local EG10.

[player_tooltip player_id='2400700' first='Caleb' last='Marshall'] 6-1 Lexington Christian Academy Arguably one the better shooters I saw all weekend. Marshall came out firing in the opening contest against Nova Village and didn't really let up. Posted 17 points in that contest. Like his teammate Prater, really came alive in the closing game. Putting up 21 against EG10. Showed diversity in his attack against the local squad. Seemed adjust to EG10's length and their ability to run him off of the three point line. Accordingly got to line often where he was nearly automatic.

[player_tooltip player_id='2383084' first='Preston' last='Clouse'] 5-8 Western Hills Turned in perhaps the performance of the weekend with a 37 point outing to kick things off Friday evening. These weren't empty calories either as the Shelby County Stars pulled out the close victory. Offsets the lack of size with extremely deep range on the perimeter. Tenacious competitor who didn't back down from any challenge all weekend. After spotting an undefeated MWBC Pumas club a big lead. Nearly led his squad all the way back in a high scoring affair. Also tested himself by playing up in the 16U division.

[player_tooltip player_id='2792674' first='Noah' last='Eubanks'] 6-4 Bullitt County While Clouse led the perimeter attack for the Shelby County Stars. Eubanks was doing the dirty work down low. Is a bit of a project at this point of his development. However he has a lot to work with. First and foremost is an imposing physical frame. Will need to improve his lateral quickness, but he isn't going to get moved off his spot on the block. Towards that measure doesn't to mind or shy away from contact. Also showed a soft touch around the basket.
