Undefeated

[program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']. The quest for this team is to win 3SSB and make their effort to be the best 17u team in the country. That quest is off to a nice start as this team went 4-0 but it wasn't just beating three local Wisconsin teams, it was the 66-40 win over UAA team Martin Brothers that really opened eyes.

Real Phenom Nick. The 17u division in Grand Rapids Michigan had four divisions of eight teams, Real Phenom was in the third pool of four and won all four games. They beat the Detroit Bulldogs by four, Chamman Gold by 19, Team Hustle by six, and Team FVV by a basket.

Quality 4-1/3-1 Run

Minnesota Gold (3-1). In the first Minnesota vs Minnesota game of the year, Minnesota Gold beat [program_tooltip program_id='2075449' first='East' last='Metro Bounce'] 66-61 in Appleton, Wisconsin. They also defeated Young Men on a Mission, and Bradley Elite by 20+ but lost to Wisconsin PHD 69-60.

[program_tooltip program_id='2075449' first='East' last='Metro Bounce'] (3-1). The Bounce lost to Minnesota Gold but bounced back to defeat PHD by 34 points (the same team that beat Gold), they rushed YMOM and then held off the local Fox Valley team by three scores.

Minnesota Comets Kuhl (3-1). The Comets squad beat Iowa Prep and Gym Class Heroes by 20+, beat Manitowoc United Gold by three scores, and then lost in the cross pool game by two scores.

Next Weekend!

Next weekend the majority of the teams will be where the majority of the area college coaches will be, St. Cloud. St. Cloud is the site of the annual Comets Shootout and yes there will be division two coaches all over the event.

There will be some teams in Chicago at the Chi Town Tip Off and there is the Heartland Hoop Fest in Des Moines, and likely a team here and a team there someplace as well. But most Minnesota teams will be in St. Cloud.
