Pitt Jam Fest Versatile Forwards

These were a few forwards who I thought stood out with their play at Pitt Jam Fest.    Cullert impressed with his ability to play inside and out with an expanded offensive arsenal. His size is imposing on the perimeter and can cause mismatch issues. He does a good job moving without the basketball. He has good instincts on either end of the floor. On defense he used his length to alter shots and collect rebounds. Hoping moving back a year can help develop his frame more and he can get stronger. He is stuck between a few different positions.     Bennett is a budding stretch four who impressed from behind the arc. He does a good job hunting his shot from the perimeter. Bennett hit timely shots from behind the arc. He used his length to get rebounds. Bennett keeps improving with experience. I would like to see him become more active on the offensive glass, he tends to float throughout the game. He should see schools from the high two and low one ranks track him this spring and summer.     He impressed as a floor spacer converting several shots from behind the arc. He used his length to get steals and blocks. Birden has an active motor and found ways to get rebounds. He is effective from the dunker spots. Birden needs to work on becoming better with his hands catching passes. He tends to rush things into existence. Birden is someone who should see heavy traction from mid-major programs.     Rajkovich impressed with his expanded offensive game. He found ways to score from behind the arc. He scored from mid-range and score inside the painted areas of the floor. He found ways to get rebounds and did a good job running the floor. He plays with an active motor. Rajkovich is tracking as a division one prospect with continued development and production.     Allotey is a hyper-active forward who has the ability to use his physical tools to find ways to stay relevant in the game. He has good touch around the bucket and converted often on high percentage looks. He has good timing on going up to alter shots on the defensive end. He should his ability to rebound at a high level. He runs the floor like a deer. He can guard multiple positions. Allotey was a great new finding and looking forward to tracking his progress over the next several years.     Mehendale is a late blooming forward who is starting to peak at the right time. He uses his length to alter shots and has great timing. He does a good job running the floor. He has good timing when going up to alter a shot. Mehendale also can be a threat as a floor spacer. He is effective from the dunker spots. He needs to be committed to walling up every time he is protecting the rim and not bring his limbs down to commit bailout fouls. Looking forward to seeing how he improves over the coming months.
