The Grassroots Season is here! I was back on the road Saturday for Day Two of the Phenom Hoops Grassroots Tip Off Classic in Rock Hill, South Carolina. It was an action-packed second day of action, featuring a gym loaded with talented prospects. These five prospects were the biggest standouts to me from Saturday's action:

Headlining my Day Two Standouts is [program_tooltip program_id='2078752' first='Upward' last='Stars 3SSB']'s [player_tooltip player_id='2470128' first='Jermier' last='Nelson']. Nelson is a product of the nearby Fort Mill High School, and he had a monster showing in Upward's win over [program_tooltip program_id='2226228' first='Team' last='CP3'] EYBL. He put up 23 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals, showing the balance in his game at the Point Guard position. Jermier has a crafty handle that helps him get into the paint, and once he does, he is strong and creative in finishing at the rim. [program_tooltip program_id='2226228' first='Team' last='CP3'] has elite size and terrific rim protection, so scoring in the paint was a challenge, but Nelson made it look easy for himself and helped set up teammates well with dump-off passes.

Ward is another of the state's top Point Guards in action Saturday. He was just as productive, racking up 23 points and 4 assists. Bryce is a gifted scorer, confident at all three levels and capable of heating up in an instant. In Day Two's overtime win, the MHE offense ran through Ward, allowing him to display his speed with the ball, offensive creativity, and basketball instincts. Bryce is a fantastic playmaker and one College Coaches should certainly check in with this Summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1414724' first='Deuce' last='Kinloch'] had a big performance in the first game I checked out on Saturday. He used his length to positively impact winning in multiple ways and posted a double-double in the game. Deuce also has good footwork, was extremely active on the offensive glass, and knocked down a few short-range jumpers. He even had the go-ahead layup from the dunker spot in the final minute. Kinloch tallied 16 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks in the win.

Batcher is an intriguing Unsigned Senior to monitor following the Phenom Grassroots Tip Off Classic. Cam attended Mauldin High School and runs with Sixers Basketball Elite on the Grassroots Circuit. He came out on fire from behind the arc in the Sixers' win over [program_tooltip program_id='2519838' first='Noble' last='Knights'], knocking down threes from all around the arc. Cam also showcased a nice floater and passing vision when playing off closeouts. He has a plus wing span that helps him shoot over defenders and affect things on the defensive end.

Rounding out Day Two's Standouts is [player_tooltip player_id='1281015' first='Cole' last='Cloer']. Cloer has been a prospect I have checked in with the past three years in Phenom Events, and his progression has been exceptional. He has developed himself into a national name because of his length, mobility, and perimeter shooting ability. This year I watched Cloer and [program_tooltip program_id='2226228' first='Team' last='CP3'] take on some high-level competition in Drify Elite, and Cole looked like the best player on the floor. In the dominant win, he put up 23 points on 3 3PM.
