Below are five prospects of note at the Shooting Guard position in New England's Class of 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='2717348' first='Marcus' last='Magloire']

A 6'2" guard out of St. John's Prep, Magloire is an impressive looking athlete with an abundance of skill and a high ceiling as a prospect. He has a nice frame that looks like he'll be able to add strength to it, while also continuing to be a high level athlete. Offensively, he is a three level scorer that continues to improve his ability to make shots in catch and shoot situations. With the ball in his hands, he can get to the rim off straight line drives, does a good job of attacking the offensive glass, and can really finish around the rim with either hand. He's a versatile defender that rebounds out a high level, can block shots from the help side, and is first to loose balls on many occasions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2569348' first='Jackson' last='Vincent']

A 6'1" guard out of Billerica Memorial, Vincent has solid positional size and some nice athletic pop. He's further ahead defensively right now, showing a high basketball IQ on that end of the floor and the ability to make plays both on or off the ball. He uses his length to block shots around the rim, while also making plays in passing lanes with good instincts and burst to the ball. Offensively, he's a capable finisher around the rim that does a nice job of attacking in straight lines or cutting to the rim without the basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2452809' first='Jaleel' last='Young']

A 5'9" guard out of Canton, Young uses his quickness to impact games on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he does a nice job of applying pressure on the ball, using his lateral mobility to keep opponents out of the paint. Off the ball, he makes good reads in passing lanes and creates scoring opportunities in transition off of steals. He handles the ball well, can really push the tempo in transition, and does a nice job of getting a piece of the paint out of ball screens. He scores over size in the paint and continues to improve as a perimeter shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2569685' first='Mekhai' last='Bovell-Holmes']

A 6'2" guard out of St. Mark's, Bovell-Holmes is an impressive defender that shines with his ability to create turnovers. He has long arms and quick hands, both of which he uses to his advantage while guarding on the ball or in passing lanes. He moves incredibly well laterally and in doing so, forces plenty of turnovers that lead to easy run out baskets. He's a nice athlete and does a good job of scoring in transition and when he gets downhill off the bounce. He finishes as a slasher and shows the ability to make catch and shoot shots in the half court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2569701' first='Trae' last='Ford']

A 6'2" guard out of Loomis Chaffee, Ford has the positional size, motor, and skill set need to be an impactful two-way prospect going forward. A versatile guard, he does a nice job of impacting the game offensively with or without the basketball in his hands. He's capable of making plays off the bounce, can score at the rim off of his cutting, and shows the ability to make catch and shoot threes. Defensively, he does a nice job of guarding on the ball while also making plays in passing lanes and has the ability to guard multiple positions on the perimeter.
