He used tight crossovers and a sick behind the back dribble move to get into the paint whenever he wanted. He also finished well at the rim, made smart assists and off ball cuts.

Bovell-Holmes, a first year at St. Mark’s, has a strong frame and great defensive instincts. A well-built wing that isn’t afraid to be physical, Bovell-Holmes shines on the defensive end of the floor. He does a great job of rebounding in space, can really move his feet on the perimeter, and utilizies his length to create a high number of deflections. As he continues to mature, he should develop into someone that is capable of being a lockdown defender on the perimeter. Offensively, he’s really good in transition, both with and without the basketball. He’s comfortable stepping being the arc and hitting jumpers in catch and shoot situations and shows the ability to put the basketball on the floor and finish at the rim. He already has some impressive physical gifts and should only continue to improve with more reps.
