PH Music City Madness: Morning Day 1 Standouts (16U)

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Take a look at the early morning standouts from the 16U Division at PH Music City Madness on Saturday!</h2>    Stevenson was a monster for UpNext Hoops 2027 as they turned a 2-point halftime lead into a 20-point blowout as he took command with his ability to rebound in bunches as well as be a presence on the interior. He was a bruising physical presence in the painted area who stood out. He's an undersized wing/forward who finished with 30 points and at least 15+ rebounds in their early morning victory over Silverbackz Select 2027. Now listed at 6-foot-2.     Acree really set the tone in the second half with his on-ball defense, turning turnovers into opportunities on the offensive end to make things happen. He scored nine of his 12 total points in the second half to turn things around with his abilities at the lead guard role. He's a point guard prospect to keep eyes on given his decision making.     A strong backcourt presence alongside Jadarion Holloway, Peabody did well to run the show on offense for Silverbackz Select 2027. He showed he could defend with pressure as well as get downhill and make things happen in the painted area. A solid floor general with good promise in the 2027 class in Alabama.     Another guard in the Silverbackz Select backcourt who made an impact with his on-ball defense and ability to attack the painted area. He's a shifty combo guard out of Glenwood High (AL) who did well finishing in the paint and competed on both ends of the floor. He stood out with his ability to keep plays alive and make things happen.     A solid post presence in the Silverbackz Select 2027 rotation, Oden is one to know out of Opelika High (AL). He did well in making things happen around the rim when the ball came his way. He had solid instincts and footwork in the painted area finishing through traffic. He's a sizeable forward prospect who was active on the glass.      Chinn hit the ground running with We Different 812 as they opened things up with an easy victory. He set quite the tone with his scoring/playmaking prowess in the first half, putting up 19 points including a 4-point play to show off his lead guard skills. He's a strong point guard tgo know out of Evansville Bosse in Indiana.     Another big guard prospect, Patterson opened things up with the first six points for We Different 812 and proceeded to showcase his skills as a high-level defender. He made life uncomfortable for their opponents en route to an easy victory while also showing he could get paint touches and finish in the painted area.     Brown was an active wing presence on both ends of the floor for Rise Above Basketball Club as they won 54-52 in comeback fashion at the buzzer. He's a long, wiry prospect who does well moving with out the ball in his hands and utilizes his length to make plays around the painted area. One to watch for sure in the 16U division.     Harper was a table-setter for OC Bombers 2 despite the result in the early sessions. He did well pushing the pace and attacking the off the bounce, finding teammates to make plays while also finding his own offense. He's a heady floor general who runs the show well.     Hepler was a double-double machine for OC Bombers 2 despite the result in their opening game of the morning session. He was a force to be reckoned with on the rebounding front, showcasing an ability to track boards, especially on the offensive end. He knocked down three 3-pointers in the second half to finish with 22 points to lead the offense.
