During the Bigfoot Hoops Kingwood Classic, I was able to scout quite of a few prospects that I've heard about before, but I never got to watch them in a full game. Now watching these prospects in person for the first time I was very impressed.

Ahmed Babiker impacted the Team Strive 2026's victory against the Houston Takeoff in a big way with his huge effort rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. Off of offensive rebound opportunities he capitalized on second chance points easily for his team due to his athleticism and anticipation. Offensively Ahmed runs very well in transition filling out the lanes on the wing most times. Also, he has the capability of putting the ball on the floor attacking the rim majority of the time.

Elijah Hughes for Team Strive 2026 did good job of handling the ball not forcing anything in the half court making smart decisions. Within these decisions he didn't really force passes to his teammates not causing turnovers and played well in the team's offense. Offensively he displayed that he could spot up above the three-point line quickly to get shots off effectively when open. During the run that changed the lead drastically against Team Takeoff, Elijah hit two straight three pointers against Team Takeoff as his team kept it up long enough to secure the win. For the weekend Elijah was playing up in the 17u division where he had an outstanding showing even though I think he was capable of more if he had way more playing time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1778922' first='Corbin' last='Crocker'] is a big presence in the paint with his rim protection as he alters shots on a high level defensively. Throughout the weekend he averaged multiple blocked shots showing great anticipation around the basket. On both ends of the floor you can count on Corbin to show tremendous effort rebounding the basketball making a difference in that stat category in the games I watched him play. Offensively he scored in the paint posting up and using his size to go up strong against opposing post players. He took advantage of mismatches in the paint against the UnderRated Prospects especially using his physical tools. I was able to watch a bit of Corbin in the Prep Hoops Spurs City Shootout Tournament where I saw his back to basket play on display but glad I was able to watch his full game throughout the Kingwood Classic.

[player_tooltip player_id='2473333' first='Gage' last='King'] is a prospect that I have been keeping up with for a while and got to watch him play at the Kingwood Classic this past weekend. In his game late Saturday against the Sticks Ballhawks he showed a lot of confidence in his performance scoring from all over the floor effectively. Whether it was a pull up off the dribble from the three point line or him getting into the lane Gage was extremely productive offensively. Defensively he did a good job of staying in front of opposing ball handlers and getting in passing lanes to steal the ball. I look forward to Gage having a great senior campaign throughout the rest of the summer and school season coming up.

[player_tooltip player_id='2555978' first='Ethan' last='Calvillo'] plays the most important role on the Gold Mamba team handling the guard position as the team's tallest player. He handled GOE's pressure quite well going up and down the floor with the ball in his hands. When scoring the ball he displayed that he can score on all three levels. At times he will make the right passes that generated scoring opportunities for his teammates. With Ethan's ability to be this versatile with his skill set he brings a lot to the table going into his senior season.
