2028 Player Rankings

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At the beginning of December we had <strong>139</strong> players to rank for the 2028 class and now we are at <strong>205</strong> players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>67 players are new</strong> and we will keep adding more and more players in the next three years. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Of the 67 new players, 5 fell in the top-50, 19 in the top-100 and 37 in the top-150. The other 30 fell in the top-205.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Our goal at&nbsp;<strong>PrepHoopsAZ</strong>&nbsp;is to try and recognize anyone who may play college basketball. We will keep searching for new players in preseason camps/events/leagues/Prep Hoops Circuit, AOG AZ High Academic Camp, Arizona Top-250 EXPO, my personal&nbsp;<a href="https://southwestaacamp.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html">Southwest Basketball Camp</a>&nbsp;and during the AIA/CAA/OTE/NIBC/EIBC/Grind Session seasons.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:quote --> <blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><!-- wp:embed {"url":"https://prephoops.com/arizona/rankings/2028-rankings/","type":"wp-embed","providerNameSlug":"prep-hoops"} --> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-prep-hoops wp-block-embed-prep-hoops"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://prephoops.com/arizona/rankings/2028-rankings/ </div></figure> <!-- /wp:embed --></blockquote> <!-- /wp:quote --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>1. 5+ players have earned a D1 offer showing this class has talent including&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='2249943' first='Lleyton' last='Leonard'] of Basha.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>2. I can see more players earning that first offer from a D1 this next upcoming season like [player_tooltip player_id='2194476' first='Martray' last='Bagley'] of Valley Prep. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>3. Rankings are based on a lot of things. Production, size for position, college coaches, the eye test, ability to score and defend, instincts, IQ, how a player moves, speed, ball handling, shooting, fundamentals. length and possible upside. It is not the easiest thing to do since not all players play in the same leagues for AAU and HS. They can be in the CAA, Grind Session, EIBC, OTE and the AIA obviously has different levels. Plus AAU teams may play on National Circuits (3SSB, UAA and EYBL) or play on independent or up and coming circuits (Pangos, NxtPro, EYCL, UAA Rise, Prep Hoops, WCE, New Balance, The Stage and so on). So you put all that information together and create the rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>4. It is surprising that of the 205 players, there are only 30 true front court players of PF or C's with an abundance of PG's meaning you really have to stand out if you are a PG in this class. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>5. Of the <strong>205</strong> players we have 62 PG's, 27 SG's, 33 CG's, 53 SF's, 23 PF's and 7 C's.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
