The spring AAU season is in full swing as April is half over. The 2027 class is set to make its mark this spring, especially on the perimeter. Here are the 2027 small forwards who could breakout this spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='2628254' first='Sebastian' last='Rogers'], 6'4 Ridgewood

Rogers is one of the most intriguing small forwards in the class with his ability to play either forward spot. The 6'4 forward has a good first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and finishes well around the basket. Rogers moves well without the ball in his hands and sets his feet before he shoots. He is a strong rebounder and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Rogers' ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor is something to watch over the next coule of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2786713' first='Ryan' last='Guveiyian'], 6'2 Haddonfield

Guveiyian can also play in the backcourt, making him a prospect to watch in the 2027 class. The 6'2 wing has a nice handle, which he uses to get to his spot on the floor and knows how to finish around the basket. Guveiyian can also score in the mid-range and rarely forces jumpers in the halfcourt. He uses his quick hands to get steals on the defensive end and fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Guveiyian is a hard-working wing prospect whose game should continue to expand during the spring and summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763532' first='Ean' last='Britt'], 6'4 Weehawken

Britt had a breakout sophomore season as he poured in nearly 400 points in 2024-25. The 6'4 forward has a good touch around the basket and can make shots through contact. Britt uses his size to see over his defender and finds his open teammates in the halfcourt. He works for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to make plays on the defensive end. Britt had three 20-10 games this season and is looking to carry over that production into the AAU season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2788485' first='Jake' last='Schultzel'], 6'2 Freehold Township

Schultzel ended the season on a high note as he averaged 16 points per game over his last four games. The 6'2 wing attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the rim and is unafraid of drawing contact. Schultzel can also score in the mid-range and moves well without the ball in his hands. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and has the athleticism to defend multiple positions on the floor. Schultzel has the ability to also play in the backcourt and will be looking to showcase that this spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763539' first='Omar' last='Mangassouba'], 6'4 Newark East Side

Mangassouba has the potential to breakout this AAU season due to his combination of size, length and skill. The 6'4 forward knows how to get to the basket off the dribble and finishes nicely around the basket. Mangassouba is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He is an underrated rebounder and slides his feet on the defensive end. Mangassouba is a lanky wing prospect who should make plays during the spring and summer AAU season.
