An all Ohio selection in multiple sports, Blockberger is one of the best overall athletes in the ultra-competitive MAC and was named basketball POY this season. Blockberger put on one of the most impressive performances I saw all postseason by single-handily defeating Spencerville in the district semifinal. Blockberger has the size, shooting and passing ability to be a productive small college basketball prospect if he chooses to go that route after high school.

A postseason hero for the Cinderella story of Ohio this season, the Massillon Perry Panthers. Wolf impressed me with his versatility on the wing as he's able to pass, dribble and shoot with excellent size. Might take a while for Wolf to add the necessary strength to reach his ceiling but if he fills out inside a college weight room then he could be an impactful small college wing who checks a lot of boxes. Incredible run for Perry and Wolf was able to be seen by a handful of regional college programs during their playoff push. Wolf was also named to the academic all-Ohio team by the OHSBCA which should help his interest with high-academic college programs interested in recruiting him.

One of the top shooters in the Canton area, I saw Vlacovsky dominate against Margaretta at the Battle at the Berkey for a Canton Central Catholic squad that had some marquee wins this season. Able to make shots off the catch, make reads off the dribble and play under control, Vlacovsky has an extremely high basketball IQ. I could see Vlacovsky earning a role at nearby Walsh as the Cavaliers have done well with local products and have a winning tradition.

Another state championship title weekend standout, Allen and Monroe Central won the Division VI title, bringing basketball glory back to the Ohio Valley for the first time in generations. Allen was a mismatch at the Division VI level due to his size, athleticism and fluidity handling the ball. The top two all time leading scorers in Monroe Central history graduated together as Allen and [player_tooltip player_id='2729724' first='Tucker' last='Howell'] combined to make a 1-2 punch that ran through just about everybody they played this season.

One of the shocking upsets in the tournament came when Vermillion and Arlington knocked off Delphos St John's in the regional final. A flat out winner, Vermillion impressed me playing for NW Ohio during the grassroots season as a guard who impacted the game in a variety of ways. Vermillion is also the second player featured in this article named to the academic all-Ohio team by the OHSBCA. Vermillion can knock down shots but his intangibles are what set him apart in my eyes, a potential strong small college prospect if he's interested in continuing his basketball career at the next level.
