Today, we continue our positional breakdown for the Class of 2025 by taking a look at the Combo Guards.

As a reminder, we'll approach the positional breakdowns in a different way this week. Instead of covering the top ten prospects at a position or randomly selecting ten, we'll instead look to cover a variety of prospects at each level of the rankings.

What that means is, for every 25 spots in the rankings, we'll try to cover a prospect from that position. If no prospect for a position falls within a given 25 spot range, we'll select the closest prospect above or below that range to highlight.

With that being said, here are ten Combo Guards of note from our latest rankings update.

1-25: [player_tooltip player_id='2396716' first='Alex' last='Wilkins'] (#17)

The Brooks School guard is coming off one of the most impressive closes to a season in recent memory. Since returning from injury he set his school's single-game high for points, hit the game winning shot in a NEPSAC championship, was named a tournament MVP, and averaged 34+ points per game over the last four games of his career. All that is to say, he does a lot of really good things on the basketball court. He will continue his playing career at Furman.

26-50: [player_tooltip player_id='1379225' first='Jakye' last='Rainey'] (#42)

The Vermont Academy guard is coming off his own strong close to a season, performing particularly well down the stretch as a scorer. The compact guard set a new program record for made 3's in a single season, while also showing the ability to be a disruptive defender. Physically, he's both strong and athletic, and uses those traits to his advantage on both ends of the floor. He still has untapped upside as a multi-level scorer. He remains uncommitted at this point in time.

51-75: [player_tooltip player_id='2325880' first='Luke' last='Johnson'] (#72)

The Brewster Academy guard is an instinctive player that has a great feel for the game on the offensive end of the floor. He impresses with his ability to make reads out of ball screens, showing good floor vision and the ability to make any pass in the book. As a scorer, he turns the corner and knows how to play at different speeds, keeping defenders off balance. His ability to run an offense stands out. He is another uncommitted prospect.

76-100: [player_tooltip player_id='2685923' first='Elijah' last='Parker'] (#87)

The Holy Cross guard is an elite scorer that wrote his name into the Connecticut history books this winter. He not only became his school's all-time leading scorer as a senior, but also became just the 28th player in Connecticut's history to score 2,000+ career points at the high school level. A big guard, he has the ability to get baskets at all three levels, showing an understanding of how to use his body and dribble to create space as a scorer. He will play next year at Central Connecticut State.

101-125: [player_tooltip player_id='2546815' first='Anthony' last='Troncellito'] (#119)

The Lee Academy guard is one of the region's top shooters and continued to prove so this winter with six games of 5+ made threes. He's developed his ability to play with the ball in his hands and now shows that he can make decisions as both a scorer and creator in the half-court. He gets into his shot off the bounce, playing in ball screens, and moving without the basketball. He is also an uncommitted prospect.

126-150: [player_tooltip player_id='2325785' first='Owen' last='Eaton'] (#148)

The Rice Memorial guard is a two-way player that uses his defense to ignite the offense. He's really good defensively in space and out of the help position, using his quick hands to create deflections that lead to runouts. He's an explosive athlete that can get to his spots off the bounce with ease. He scores as a downhill driver and perimeter shooter and plays with a great feel as a passer, delivering passes on time and on target to shooters. He will head to Winchendon in the fall for a post-graduate year.

151-175: [player_tooltip player_id='2686234' first='Octavius' last='Wheeler'] (#171)

The Putnam Science Academy guard is one of the area's most improved guards. Long known as a big time scorer, he did a terrific job of rounding out his game on the offensive end of the floor this winter. He now operates as a scorer and facilitator with the ball in his hands, showing an understanding of how to draw the defense in and then spray the ball to shooters on the wings or cutters making their way to the rim. He remains uncommitted at this point in time.

176-200: [player_tooltip player_id='2547132' first='Tyrell' last='Green'] (#192)

The Lee Academy guard is adept at getting into the paint off the bounce and making plays that lead to easy baskets. He's at his best in the open floor, using his speed and comfort with the ball in his hands to break down the defense and create scoring opportunities at the rim. Defensively, he sits in a stance and really makes opposing ball-handlers work, using his length and athleticism to be disruptive on the ball. He is another uncommitted prospect.

201-225: [player_tooltip player_id='1532448' first='Marquis' last='White'] (#207)

The Thayer Academy guard is a well-rounded offensive product that uses jab steps and shot fakes to keep defenders off balance. He really turned a corner as a scorer this winter, proving that he's capable of getting it done at all three levels. He can make plays in space or coming out of ball screens and does a great job of using his length as a finisher. He's also a strong open floor defender that knows how to make plays on the ball without fouling. He remains uncommitted at this point in time.

226-250: [player_tooltip player_id='2547100' first='Noah' last='Daniel'] (#229)

The Berwick Academy guard is a high motor guard that makes play on both ends of the floor with his effort and intensity. He has a good frame and plays with strength, allowing him to play through contact as a creator and finisher. He's a plus shooter that does a good job of making both open and contested shots. On the other end, he can really rebound from the guard spot. He will head to the RPI in the fall.
