Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Daniel came off the board with an early commitment to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. A long guard, Daniel does a nice job of seeing the floor and making plays for himself and for teammates. He’s comfortable with the ball in his hands and does a good job of getting a piece of the paint and then finding his shooters on the perimeter. He has nice burst off the bounce, typically gets by the initial defender, and does a good job of finishing with length around the rim. Defensively, he’s quick, utilizes his length to his advantage, and does a good job of jumping passing lanes. His activity level on that end of the floor allows him to create plenty of steals and deflections. RPI gets a talented, two-way guard that has the chance to develop into a nice piece in the Liberty League.

Daniel is a do-it-all combo guard who can play both on and off the ball. He won’t wow you with any one specific skill, but he can do everything decently well offensively. He’s an especially smart passer who did a great job entering the ball into the post when the defense was fronting. Defensively, Daniel is very versatile and can guard multiple positions. Daniel should find a low to mid D3 fit somewhere.
