<p><strong>Playoff Central.</strong> It was a massive night for [player_tooltip player_id='2120492' first='Ethan' last='Miller'] who scored 32 points for Zumbrota-Mazeppa giving his team an 80-59 win over Pine Island. It wasn't just 32 points, the 6'8 junior hit four threes and grabbed 17 rebounds in the win as well! The up and coming forward with strength and agility has continued to take massive steps from his 16u year to the fall into his junior year pushing his team to 19 wins. </p>

<p><strong>Upset City</strong>. Maple Lake came into the evening with two wins, and they went home to their beds with three. Not only did Maple Lake win, they won 76-60 over North Lakes! Next up is top seeded Upsala but for now, who cares. The playoffs allowed the kids at Maple Lake a third win and that's all that matters for now. </p>

<p><strong>The Big Stage.</strong> We got back to the Mayo Civic Center for another round of quarterfinals in 1AA and 1A. Last night four teams made it through, now the main court and the auditorium - always a great debate which is the more fun place to play - host the other two sets of quarterfinals. </p>

<p>The Auditorium will have upset minded Winona Cotter trying to pull another one against Cannon Falls followed by one of the games of the week, Lewiston-Altura facing Lake City. And in the big arena, Class A gets the big spot this time with Fillmore Central facing undefeated Southland followed by Kingsland and Rushford-Peterson. </p>

<p>By tonight the Class A and Class AA semi-finals will be set already. </p>

<p><strong>Top Performers</strong>. Elk River junior [player_tooltip player_id='1560831' first='Levi' last='Harris'] dealt with a rough knee injury and even after being fully ready to go it takes time. How is he doing? Levi has averaged 20 points a game this season including recent games of 34 and 29 against Blaine inside of a week, and last night he had 41 against Sartell!</p>

<p>Six-foot-3 junior [player_tooltip player_id='2381223' first='Judah' last='Caine'] had 20 points for Columbia Heights who earned an 83-44 win over Minneapolis Edison. Caine has averaged nine a game this year but had a big game last night. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2103343' first='Garrett' last='Konz'] had 23 points and [player_tooltip player_id='1575326' first='Mason' last='King'] had 20 as Caledonia made short work of La Crescent for a 55-29 halftime lead and an 89-47 win. </p>

<p>In the 4/5 game [player_tooltip player_id='2126171' first='Gabe' last='Staloch'] scored 23 points for Blooming Prairie highlighted by four threes for a 56-45 win over Houston. </p>

<p><strong>Tip of the Hat to the Career</strong>. Six-foot-4, 190 pound [player_tooltip player_id='1452981' first='Ethan' last='Van Schepen'] from Schaeffer Academy saw his team go down to Goodhue last night in the quarters. Just three weeks ago Ethan scored his 2,000th point of his career! He recently had games of 31 and 25 against Goodhue, and 41 and 17 against Spring Grove! That's a ton of buckets and boards. A strong career that put him on the map and let people know what Schaeffer Academy is as a school.. </p>
