Middle School Camp — Minnesota: 2029 Standouts (Vol. 2)

Prep Hoops Next is back with volume 2 of 2029 standouts from the Middle School Camp — Minnesota held at Mounds View High School. There was a large group of 2029 prospects that participated and many legitimate 2029 prospects were missed on my first article highlighting the class. Below, we have six prospects that will be impact players in the future that have potential to become college prospects.    Rolenc, who is in the featured image of the article, has a skilled offensive game with a skilled handle on the ball and a space-creating crossover. He used his crossover to open up space for himself to get off his jumper. He also used his handle to get past his defender, bring an additional defender and passed and dimed-off to teammates at the hoop. Good overall athlete with an athletic frame.     Liam was teamed-up with [player_tooltip player_id='2521853' first='Justus' last='Dayee'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2434106' first='Jewhan' last='Edwards'] in the 5-on-5, and they made for a difficult trio to defend and to try and slow down. Thompson is a guard with a boatlaod of skill and a large sum of confidence and swag to further the matter. He's got an impressive ball-handling series and can breakdown a defender with multiple ball-handling moves. He can continue his dribble and get defenders dancing then attack when he feels he has an advantage. He showed he can hit high level of difficulty shots, with fades and fallaways.     I saw Tufaa absolutely cook in the 3-on-3 and he went on a scoring spree by making shot after shot and finishing at the hoop in a creative manner. The lefty guard is as smooth as ever offensively and showed to be a high-level shot-maker.     Gabriel has elite movement and fluidity. It was quite noticeable how well he was moving on the court. He got in great defensive position and had no problem staying in front of his matchup and showed great lateral movement ability to be a help defender and showed great recovery back to his original matchup.     Isse was a top ball-handler at the camp and had the ball on a string. He had complete control of the ball and he showed off his stuff. He wanted to show off his elite handle and he turned some heads in doing so. He also has some great length with ridiculously long arms, helping him make long crossovers that had defenders moving. A nifty finisher at the hoop and shot-making prowess to go along with his handle. He was making things look easy and was toying with the competition at times.     Greyson I saw briefly. But he has a solid build and showed great competiveness on the defensive side of the ball. He got up and physical with his matchup, making it very difficult for his opponent to operate with the ball and try to make a positive play. He moved his feet quickly and beat the ball-handler to their desired spot, forcing them to get rid of the ball.
