[player_tooltip player_id='2815641' first='Drake' last='Buffington'] (Goreville)

Inside their senior big man [player_tooltip player_id='2815641' first='Drake' last='Buffington'] is a load at 6'7” and plays really physical. Like too physical at times. He did have a nice hook shot and rebounded well in his area scoring 7 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2411912' first='Malik' last='Meridy'] (Hope)

Meridy opened our eyes with the way he shot it from distance in Champaign. In the semis against St. Anthony it was a four three pointer morning as he drained them shooting it with confidence off the catch en route to 14 points. He continued letting it fly in the title game going 3-6 from deep scoring 11 points helping his team win 1A.

[player_tooltip player_id='2464538' first='Zach' last='Winkeler'] (Althoff)

The 6'1” shooting guard was on point from the first quarter and was a major contributor in their big run early. Plus shooter that can knock down shots from deep, but is also a quality athlete that can score on straight line takes as he went for 21 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815649' first='Adam' last='Awender'] (Eastland)

Awender jumped our radar with a strong performance in the semis against Peoria Christian. He is an athletic 5'10” lead guard that has burst on his first step. Loves to score in transition along with converting acrobatic layups in the paint. Fun player to watch with the creativity he brings to the table. Went for 17 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815665' first='Ethan' last='Dubois'] (Bismark-Henning Rossville-Alvin)

Dubois is a plus shooter from deep that drained four triples in the win. Lets it fly with a ton of confidence each and every time he touched it. Went for 18 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815668' first='Micah' last='Stanford'] (Bismark-Henning Rossville-Alvin)

Stanford is a 5'11” stocky guard that was consistently putting pressure on the rim with his straight line takes getting to the rim where he had 16 points. Good in transition and overall finished well in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815679' first='Cole' last='Tripp'] (Goreville)

Tripp doing his thing as he had one of the scariest injuries we have seen this year over the holidays. In this game he was the catalyst for everything that went on. Nailed a couple of threes, spin moves, sweeping layups, and finished with either hand. Solid passer as well. He had 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 dimes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815685' first='Jordan' last='Maple'] (Thornton)

Maple is a 5'10” point guard who in his final high school game poured in four triples while scoring 16 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2400721' first='Nyshawn' last='Turner'] (Rich Township)

Turner is a 6'6” four man who turned it up as the season ended for Rich. Strong frame with plus athleticism. He got on the offensive glass with quickness, had left handed hook shots, and got to the line for 7 points in the semis.
