March 15th-16th I attended the Attitude of Gratitude High Academic Camp. There were exactly 60 campers with 6 full teams.

It was a unique experience for the campers since actual college coaches were the camp coaches of the 6 teams. A bunch of new players were at the camp and the players that shined had the college coaches talking to them after the games.

Here were some of the standout Seniors

[player_tooltip player_id='2412781' first='Logan' last='Lupkes'] Paradise Honors (Pictured)

A two-way scoring guard showed both parts of his game. He is good on the ball defensively and collects steals. He will often play the passing lanes and grab a steal and lay it in plus is an out of area rebounder and will block shots. He can score with catch threes or off the dribble and he is a quick driver. He made many threes per game showing his consistency.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598395' first='David' last='Leszczynski'] Paradise Honors

One of the top players in attendance had college coaches talking to him the whole weekend. He scored it with mid-range jumpers, dunks on break, three point shots with high elevation, fall aways and dribble drives with a a shifty handle. He also made some nice passes with his left or right hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285501' first='Cezer' last='Sotomayor'] Phhoenix Prep

A very poised guard changes speeds well. He is a good passer as he can thread the needle. He will score with catch threes, fall aways off the dribble, drive by's with his fluid handle and will hesitate and blow past his defender. He verbally committed to Cornell.

[player_tooltip player_id='2466079' first='Jaiden' last='Thompson'] Mountain Ridge

A scoring point guard can fill it up with off the dribble threes, pull-ups from mid-range and tough takes in traffic with his left hand. He is stronger then a year ago and will make passes up the court passes with either hand and will suck in the defense and make the play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2533601' first='Xavier' last='Ledet'] Cactus

A scoring combo guard is tough to cover when he gets hot with hard pull-ups and quick layups in transition. He will hesitate and burst to the basket with his left hand and shoot the three off the dribble. He seems to keep coming at you as he puts immense pressure on the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1377951' first='Kenneth' last='Hill'] Sunrise Mountain

A tough scoring guard is a downhill driver who has a stronger frame and build. He can also pull-up from mid-range off the dribble. He makes his money defending multiple positions and rebounding. He was one of the tougher players in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id='2223458' first='Anthony' last='Maciel'] Central

The 5A State Champ is a face-up power forward. He will hit the three off the catch, score with driving layups and handles contact better then many with and-1's in traffic. He moves well in space to defend and will gobble up rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1275632' first='Lex' last='Clontz'] Cesar Chavez

The Embry-Riddle commit is a walking bucket. He was one of the top scorers in attendance with catch threes in bunches with a lightning quick release, mid-range pull-ups and even dunks on the break. He will also throw some ropes up the court for assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150847' first='Carlos' last='Coronado Jr'] Coolidge

The Northern IL commit started slowly since he hasn't played in a month but got rolling quickly. He will score it effortlessly from all three levels with high level mid-range pull-ups, deep triples with a high arc and dunks it way above the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595012' first='Cristian' last='Acevedo'] Apollo

A bigger bodied power forward is a cerebral player. He has a plus motor to rebound and will score it from inside and out. He uses quick spin moves to the basket and he can step out and shoot the three. He dunks it better now then a year ago plus is extending his shooting range more and more.
