The 2024-25 SCHSL State Championships began on February 27th and continued through March 8th at the Florence Center in Florence, South Carolina. This was a great opportunity to have some of the best the state has to offer under the same roof. The fourth State Champion crowned was Ridge View High School in Class 5A Division One. Check out my Class 5A D1 All State Championships Team, featuring two players from the State Champion, one from the runner-up, and one from each of the Upper State and Lower State runners-up:

[player_tooltip player_id='1679970' first='Yale' last='Davis'] (Ridge View) - [player_tooltip player_id='1679970' first='Yale' last='Davis'] staked his claim as one of the state's top Point Guards with his strong play in Florence. Davis averaged 14 PPG, 3.5 APG, and 3 SPG as his team won by 22 PPG at the State Championships. He has great defensive hands, an elite, attack-minded handle, and plays the game well at a fast pace. Davis also showcased good athleticism and knocked down some jump shots in the two wins. Yale has Division One offers from Jacksonville and Nicholls, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that list grow if he continues this hot streak into the AAU Season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1692243' first='Korie' last='Corbett'] (Ridge View) - South Carolina's top Junior stepped up with 23 points on an efficient 8-11 shooting to win his second straight State Championship. Corbett displayed fantastic creativity around the rim with several athletic, hanging finishes. He is near unstoppable with a head of steam because of his combination of size and athleticism. Although he had a quieter scoring game in the Lower State Championship, Korie was always impactful on the defensive end, totaling 10 rebounds and 6 steals in the two games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2090536' first='TJ' last='Lewis'] (Blythewood) - Although he didn't go out on top as many Blythewood fans had dreamed, it was still a heroic season for [player_tooltip player_id='2090536' first='TJ' last='Lewis']. He was by far the Tigers' best and most dependable offensive option, even when defenses were constructed to stop him in the State Championships. Lewis tallied 38 points and seven made threes across two games in Florence, including a game-tying three and game-winning free-throws in the Upper State Championship. Although Ridge View defended him extremely well in the final, TJ still found a way to put the ball in the bucket and battled for all 32 minutes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1737994' first='Jaden' last='Johnson'] (Dorman) - Johnson was terrific for the Cavaliers in his first season since transferring from Southside High School. He had the ball in his hands often and was the number-one playmaker for the offense, including the Upper State Championship matchup with Blythewood. In that game, he tallied 22 points and showed off his talent with floaters, a quick first step, a tight handle, and the ability to earn trips to the free-throw line. Jaden added 4 steals and 4 assists as well in his only game at the Florence Center.

[player_tooltip player_id='1370628' first='Parker' last='Renault'] (James Island) - Parker was a bright spot for James Island despite the loss to eventual champion Ridge View. He positively affected the game in multiple ways, racking up 17 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block. Renault had plays run for him to get him touches in the post as well as looks on the perimeter. This allowed him to show off his ability to battle through contact in the paint and his deep range behind the arc. Parker also had a solid defense game, moving his feet well around the perimeter.
