The freshmen class is taking advantage of every opportunity to showcase what they can do. All over the state 2028s are playing winning basketball. Here are five that you need to know:

[player_tooltip player_id='2613087' first='Conner' last='Brennan'] | 6'6 F 2028 Wilmington Friends

A day 1 starter for the Quakers, Brennan went from simply rebounding on both ends of the floor and scoring on putbacks to blocking shots and knocking down jumpers. He's even letting it fly from deep every now and then. The game slowing down for him has resulted in his overall production going up and Friends being a better all-around team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2567838' first='Dylan' last='Bromwell'] | 6'0 G 2028 St. Mark's

Bromwell came out splashing threes in his first game and hasn't looked back sense. Leading the Spartans in three-point makes, he doesn't need much space to cash them in off the catch. What makes him even more valuable is that he competes regardless of whether or not the shot is going. Bromwell battles for rebounds and brings energy on defense too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2704241' first='Darrius' last='Liles'] | 5'10 G 2028 Delmarva Christian

Liles isn't just contributing to the Royals: he's leading them. The freshman guard is first in points and steals and second in rebounds and assists. His teammates trust him to be their offensive engine because he can create shots from deep or at the rim. And with his effort on both ends, they should comfortably be in the playoffs picture.

[player_tooltip player_id='2519939' first='Mike' last='Mullen'] | 5'11 G 2028 Milford

Getting into the paint is one of the most important skills in hoops and that's what Mullen brings to the Bucs. He has the footwork and change of pace to get into the lane and the craft to finish on either side of the basket. Mullen is getting better as a passer, but being able to force rotations off the bounce is a good first step. His 26 points at Sussex Tech was just an introduction.

[player_tooltip player_id='2606515' first='Lamier' last='Wright'] | 6'1 G 2028 Lake Forest

Wright has been a fixture in the rotation since December, making plays on defense and getting easy buckets in transition. But now he's more comfortable and beginning to assert himself on offense. He's turned into a reliable spot up shooter who is learning to make secondary reads. Wright's production on that end energizes his on-ball defense, he has a lot of upside.
