Our scouts pulled up to Friendship Tech Prep in DC to attend a great showcase pitting some of the top teams in DC against other talented local and out of state schools. The 4-game event featured a ton of local fan support that made it a great environment to catch some high-level HS hoops on a Saturday!!

-NC State commit was impactful from start to finish in a good road win for the Greenies. The talented forward showed the full skill set in the 1H-- hitting a leap n leaner in the key, converting a spin lay off the window, knocking down a face up 3, carving out space well on the low block on the duck in for the easy 2, and hitting a backdoor cut lay off glass. Love the timing and spacing of his cuts from the corner and dunker's spot to present an easy finishing targets for his teammates to find off the bounce. Wilkins serves as a cerebral defender that diagnoses sets quickly from the back line and does a great job of bumping cutters and protecting the rim both help side and on the ball. Had a big rip through from the middle of the floor into an underhand lay to put his team back up 3-possessions late in the win.

-Showed a ton of moxie throughout the game, unafraid to chase down long rebounds or fight through contact to come up with rebounds or steals (finished with at least 4). Best sequence was a big pull-up jumper off the bounce followed by an inbound steal that he laid off the glass, a great sprint back to block a shot after missing a bunny in the paint, and an alley oop to his big in transition to reward the big fella for his sprint. Lane can get past bigger and smaller guards on the perimeter with above-average back foot burst to get him to his spots. Definitely a name that can make some noise in the upcoming postseason.

-Such an important piece for a Friendship Tech team that has sought out ALL the smoke. Bumpass defends at a high level without fouling, provides shooting from the wings, can guard 1-4 at the high school level, and makes a quick read while still making the right play. He got it going with a sweep and drive downhill for the lay, showed patience and IQ by hitting a retreat dribble to evade a double team before slicing downhill for the lay, and had a big C+S bucket from the top of the key to make it a single-digit game. Even while playing through foul trouble that eventually ended his night early, he stayed aggressive offensively and covered his teammate's defensive mistakes on the perimeter to keep in front of his man on ball screen islands. Cerebral, steady guard prospect that will help a college team win games at the next level.

-Does a little bit of everything as an invaluable cog for a scrappy SEED group that fought like hell until the final whistle. Myles hit a 1-dribble pull-up on the baseline, scored on a great face cut to the ball from the wing off a baseline out of bounds, stepped up to high-point block a floater in the middle of the key, and threw an on-target baseball pass after snagging down one of his 12 rebounds in the game to give a teammate an open layup in transition. Myles can guard all 5 positions, plays hard at both ends of the floor, and generates most of his own offense off the bounce or off of offensive boards around the basket.

-Love the impact that Collins has in so many different areas for Christ School while also displaying long-term upside as a combo guard that can contribute to winning in a variety of ways. The American University commit scored off the C2C layup to start the game, collected a steal to score on another C2C lay in transition, recovered well to rotate over in time to block a reverse layup out of midair, collected a tough offensive rebound to pivot and score just past the defense with the reverse off glass, scored on a face cut from the slot with the scooping lay, and knocked down several C+S 3s on the wings. His size allows him to play the 1-3 for the Greenies to give his team some lineup versatility at both ends of the floor, using him on the ball to score/create or off the ball to attack closeouts and hit shots when the defense doesn't rotate quickly enough.

-Really loved his feel in the halfcourt as a connecting guard that can get paint touches to create on his own or can deliver quick one-more passes on the perimeter to hit an open shooter to create a clean look from beyond the arc. Petty had a way of passing shooters open by leading them to the corner or other open pockets in the defense but he also did a great job of locating his big for easy dump-offs around the rim. Had a great string of possessions midway through the 2Q, hitting a corner 3 of his own then finding teammates to collect 4 assists in that stretch of the half alone. With above-average quickness and some good measurables to compliment a well-rounded skillset, I enjoyed watching this off guard prospect make plays for the Greenies.
