It's that time of year again where we do our quarterly rankings updates, and we will start with the senior class! We've had quite a while to compile our 2025 rankings over the past four years, so we had a solid list already but that doesn't mean things haven't changed with transfers and shakeups throughout the list.

We will be doing content throughout the week on new additions, biggest risers and positional rankings. Here's a look at part one of the top shooting guards and small forwards in the senior class.

25) [player_tooltip player_id='1767531' first='Mykell' last='Harvey'] | 6'2” SG | Northside (#61 Overall)

Harvey is a two sport star who thrives on the football field as well and is committed to NC A&T for both sports, and the multiple time All State selection and two time State Champion is one of the premier athletes in the state. While he's slightly undersized for his position he plays like a giant with his ability to play above the rim and rebound for his position, he shoots the ball well from deep and he can use his speed off the bounce to make plays too.

24) [player_tooltip player_id='2242031' first='Lorcan' last='Hyndman'] | 6'6” SF | Bishop O'Connell (#54 Overall)

Hyndman transferred to O'Connell before the season started and has shown to be one of the most unique prospects in the DMV with his skillset at his size. At 6'6” he's able to play on or off the ball and is able to make shots at multiple levels, he moves his feet well and can guard multiple positions and he makes the right play consistently as well.

23) [player_tooltip player_id='2761798' first='Brady' last='Lam'] | 6'3” SG | William Monroe (#53 Overall)

Sometimes it takes us time to learn about the small school players in the state, and that's the reason Lam made his debut in this rankings after being an All State selection last year for Monroe. The 6'3” wing is a very talented player who has good size and is a big time athlete who can play above the rim, he can knock down shots on the move or on spot ups and he can create shots off the bounce for himself and others as well.

22) [player_tooltip player_id='1520852' first='Stuart' last='Cosby'] | 6'6” SF | St. Chris (#52 Overall)

Cosby had a breakout summer on the 3SSB Circuit with Team Push, and he's followed it up with a great senior season for St. Chris that has made him one of the best available players in the Richmond area. The 6'6” wing possesses good size and a frame that should got stronger in college, he's a knock down shooter from deep who can relocate and make shots on the move and he has a good IQ on both ends as well.

21) [player_tooltip player_id='1343624' first='Khalil' last='Caple'] | 6'4” SG | King's Fork (#51 Overall)

Caple transferred to King's Fork from Norfolk Collegiate this season, and he's a big reason the Bulldogs are looking at a possible deep playoff run right now. The 6'4” shooting guard is a do-it-all type of player who produces across the board with his ability to score it from all three levels, make plays for others, defend multiple positions and he's a good rebounder for his size too.

20) [player_tooltip player_id='1494121' first='Anthony' last='Saunders'] | 6'3” SG | Miller School (#50 Overall)

Saunders transferred to Miller School from Edison for his senior season, and he's seen a lot of growth as a player as he's been looked at to handle the basketball more this year than he has in the past. He's a big and physical guard who can get downhill or post smaller guards and finish through traffic, he's improved his way into being a very good shooter from deep, and has a good first step and burst to get by defenders off the bounce too.

19) [player_tooltip player_id='2528345' first='Matthew' last='McLaurin'] | 6'4” SF | Virginia Academy (#49 Overall)

McLaurin transferred to Virginia Academy from Maryland for his senior season and he's had a good one, putting his name on the radar of college coaches and helping the Patriots to a very good season. The 6'4” wing is a very good shooter from deep who is able to make shots on the move and with little to no room, he can get to spots off the bounce and knock down tough shots from the midrange and he makes plays on the defensive end with his athleticism too.

18) [player_tooltip player_id='1580731' first='Aiden' last='Caulker'] | 6'4” SG | Bishop O'Connell (#47 Overall)

Caulker has had a very successful career with O'Connell as a role player, and he's picked up even more of a role this year and has been productive in a number of different ways. He's a player who often guards the other team's best player and does a good job making them work, he is a good catch-and-shoot guy from deep and he's a strong finisher in transition and when he gets downhill.

17) [player_tooltip player_id='1328950' first='Chancellor' last='Perkins'] | 6'2” SG | Highland School (#46 Overall)

Perkins is another player who has a lot of success throughout his career, and his play this year has been a huge part of Highland's success as they sit at first in the Elite Prep League and are playing for the MSPSC championship. The 6'2” shooting guard is instant offense as he can make one shot and then take over games with his scoring ability, he has effortless range well beyond the three-point line and he has improved in his ability to make plays off the bounce too.

16) [player_tooltip player_id='2571724' first='Johnathan' last='Robinson'] | 6'5” SG | Blue Ridge (#40 Overall)

Robinson joined Blue Ridge this season and has been a huge part of their terrific season, as they look like one of the favorites to make a run in the loaded VISAA D1 classification. The 6'5” off guard is chock full of potential as he has prototypical size and is a good athlete on the perimeter, he can score the ball in a number of different ways and he can play multiple positions on both ends of the floor.
