Not even two minutes into the game, [player_tooltip player_id='2575799' first='Walker' last='Redding'] hit Cookeville's third three-pointer. Redding played the base of the Cavalier 2-3 zone. Offensively, he tended to work on the blocks. But the sophomore showed right away he is capable of hitting an outside shot. Redding is a player to watch during his spring AAU season. Redding did miss his next two three-point attempts. Activity on the offensive glass was high. Redding alertly deflected an interior pass attempted through their zone. Cookeville won, 72-61.

Far from a finished product, [player_tooltip player_id='2756852' first='Ross' last='Perlick'] did contribute to the Tigers' Tuesday effort against Cookeville. Wilson Central Head Coach Jim Fey actually assigned Perlick the unenviable task of checking 1.000-point scorer [player_tooltip player_id='2362465' first='Jaren' last='Davis'] for stretches in the second quarter. Perlick did ok. Considering his height Perlick moved laterally quite well. That is almost always the limiting factor for taller guards at the high school level when they attempt to play in college. 'Can they guard a college 2-3?' Well, Perlick is already matching up decently against a dude that will play somewhere in college next year.

Starting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2508422' first='Bo' last='Maxwell'] demonstrated exceptional skill Tuesday in a district win. Maxwell handled the ball with care and hit open shots. His basketball maturity is years ahead of most peers. Cookeville won, 72-61.

Measured, calm. Wilson Central is a guard-driven team and touches are occasionally hard to find for youngsters. Still, Colton made good choices upon the touch. Hit a corner three-pointer during a pivotal stretch.

Left-handed [player_tooltip player_id='2684568' first='Kaden' last='Cutlip'] threw a metaphor southpaw hook to the Volunteer Falcon jaw Monday night. Kaden's stroke is so pure. His first offering hit nothing but net, but that third made three-pointer impressed even more. Cutlip pulled up with confidence from 21' with a hand in his face and buried it. As a sophomore, Cutlip averages over 16 ppg for a decent Blue Devil team (14-10).
