We are nearing IHSAA Tournament time here in the state of Indiana. Most teams have just a couple regular season games remaining between now and then end of the regular season next weekend. For the senior class, the number of opportunities remaining are quickly evaporating. With that being said it is more important than ever that we shine some additional light on those in the senior class who have yet to find a home at the next level. Here are six senior standouts that college programs should have on their radar heading into tournament time.

Expectations were high for Avon coming into this season, but they have outperformed even the loftiest of expectations so far. The Orioles are 18-2 and have moved up to #2 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 4A Top 10. There have been a lot of reasons for their success, but an under-the-radar one has been the play of their 6'6" senior center [player_tooltip player_id='1539997' first='Kendrick' last='Dunmore']. The physical, bouncy interior presence averages 8.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. However, his two-way impact goes beyond that. Dunmore is an above the rim player on both ends and is one of the top interior prospects remaining on the board in Indiana.

Gizzi gets a lot of the headlines for Prep Hoops Indiana Class 3A #2 New Palestine and understandably so. The Indiana All-Star candidate is averaging 26.0 points per game. However, the Dragons' point guard is an excellent small college prospect in his own right. Haynes recently became New Palestine's all-time assist leader and is averaging 12.5 points, 7.8 assists, and 2.4 steals per game as a senior. He is also shooting 40-89 (44.9%) from three-point range.

An under-the-radar prospect in the greater Fort Wayne area, Miller has led the Flying Jets of Adams Central High School to five straight victories and a 12-7 overall record. He is a very athletic guard with the necessary burst to create his own shot and the elevation to get clean looks off of the dribble and at the rim. Small college programs should definitely continue recruiting him into the spring if they need some help in the backcourt.

There are few prospects in the senior class that have the raw athleticism of this Castle High School wing. Niehaus is averaging 13.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.6 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game. At 6'4", the versatility of Niehaus' game on both ends of the floor is what is most intriguing for small college coaches. He is a capable shooter, and above the rim finisher, and can guard multiple positions at the next level.

All of the physical tools are very, very intriguing with this 6'7" forward from Brownsburg High School. Sloss moves well for his size, is very long, and can impact the game up around the rim at both ends. However, he can also handle the ball in some one-on-one positional matchups and is comfortable when switching onto smaller defenders on the perimeter. Sloss is averaging 10.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game for a Brownsburg team that is starting to play their best basketball. The Bulldogs have recent wins over Noblesville and North Central.

After an excellent summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit, Teschendorf put himself on the radar of some small college programs across Indiana and the Midwest. However, he still remains uncommitted here late in his senior season. The athletic 6'2" guard is averaging 7.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game for Mt. Vernon (Fortville) who is 15-4 on the season heading into a big rivalry game at New Palestine on Friday night. Teschendorf should remain a target for any small college looking for help in the backcourt.
