<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This article will talk about the first 2 games I have gone to to start this Ohio High School playoffs. Last week I was at the Sectional Finals between South and Hamilton Township as Sout got the 75-56 win on the road. Tonight I was at the District Semi-Finals game as Westerville Central got a dominant road win over Thomas Worthington 69-62. This article will cover the standouts from these games.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1708714"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":2789427,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-67bd30ec457b8"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Henderson put in on of the best displays of scoring and shot-making that I have seen in a while and possibly all season. He finished the game with 37 points and had 21 at the half. He carried most of the offensive load at Westerville Central in this game. He was scoring the ball on three levels all game. He showcased a great touch around the rim and in the paint. He was knocking down shots from all over the court and it didn't matter if he was open or contested. He made difficult shots. His confidence and energy were high all game and it was contagious to his teammates. He was letting everyone in the gym know that he was in a zone tonight and was not going to be stopped. Henderson came out and was ready to fight for the season. He proved he is one of the best scorers in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2781233"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":2789429,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-67bd30ec45845"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Felts-Lipsey was massive for South in the first half as he carried the scoring load. He provided answers for the 2-3 zone of Hamilton as he shot them out of it. He showed off great range and spacing for the Bulldogs. His off the dribble release of the ball is so quick. He showed off a good touch in the 2nd half in the paint and around the rim. Great feel for the game and can score. Played huge in the 1st half.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1432022"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":2789431,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-67bd30ec458ef"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Spiva was amazing tonight on the defensive end. He started the game with a high amount of pressure and caused a ton of turnovers on the defensive end. He set the tone for the game early and it continued the entire game.  He was great in the passing lanes and anticipating the next pass. When he needed to be aggressive on the offensive end he was, and he looked good doing it. He scored the ball at a high level and finished with 21 points. He had 2 nice athletically difficult dunks in transition. He did a good job of absorbing contact in the air and when attacking the rim. He showed off a nice touch when attacking the rim full speed. He made multiple hustle plays and winning plays.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":2789432,"_player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"Neko Tuff","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"2027","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"5'11u0022","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"77246","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"Columbus South","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_0_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-67bd30ec459c0"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Tuff has a great skill set. He struggled in the first half with scoring, but his smooth athleticism and ball handling was impressive. I liked that even though his shot was not falling in the 1st half he did not start chucking he made the right plays with the ball and let the game come to him. The game opened up for him in the 2nd half. He scored 20 points in the 2nd half and ended the game with 22 points. He became way more aggressive when the spots started to present themselves. Tuff is a great silky scorer that is a pleasure to watch when he is cooking. He is a good slasher who can get by you and then create in the midrange. He has good length and uses it well on the defensive end. He caused a lot of turnovers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2726600"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":2789435,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-67bd30ec45a26"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">King was a flamethrower in the one. He provided a ton of momentum and energy when Hamilton needed it most in this one. In the 1st quarter when they were struggling, he made 3 threes. This would continue throughout when Hamilton was falling behind or gaining momentum, he was there to knock down a three and set the gym off. He needed no space to shoot if lefty shot. He was in rhythm all night and had a ton of confidence. You could not leave him open. He had a game-high 25 points and made 7 threes. He has good length and size. He made a couple of big defensive blocks in the 2nd half.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2200014"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":2789437,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-67bd30ec45a83"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Johnson is someone you lean on when you need scoring and he provided that once again tonight. He ended his high school career by joining the 1,000-point club. This just shows he has been an elite scorer his entire high school career and with him being a smaller guard this is even more impressive. He has a good midrange pull-up bag. He knocked down toughly contested shots all night. He absorbs contact well and plays much bigger than he is. He is such a smooth scorer and athlete. He does a great job of stabbing his feet and creating lanes for him to get by defenders. He just makes scoring look very easy.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
