Johnson is someone you lean on when you need scoring and he provided that once again tonight. He ended his high school career by joining the 1,000-point club. This just shows he has been an elite scorer his entire high school career and with him being a smaller guard this is even more impressive. He has a good midrange pull-up bag. He knocked down toughly contested shots all night. He absorbs contact well and plays much bigger than he is. He is such a smooth scorer and athlete. He does a great job of stabbing his feet and creating lanes for him to get by defenders. He just makes scoring look very easy.

Johnson has exploded for some huge scoring games this winter as Thomas Worthington has been scrappy by winning four of their last six games. One of the top scorers in the OCC, Johnson can certainly fill it up on nights when he has it rolling. With the amount of offensive juice Johnson has, he’s a guy I could see carving out a really nice college career down the road.

Johnson has had an impressive start to his senior season, going off for some huge scoring numbers in some impressive wins for the Cardinals. While this was a tough loss, Johnson still had some bright moments as a scorer. Johnson is a tough shot maker and he hit some impressive ones on Saturday morning. Combine that with a couple lefty finishes and a coast to coast floater before the halftime buzzer and Johnson was doing his best to keep the game competitive.

A Prep Hoops Expo standout, Johnson improved his stock with us after being dominant as a scorer in the fall. A point guard with the ability to get hot from the outside and create out of isolation situations, Johnson can get a bucket for himself. He continued this momentum this winter with a 31 point game to open the season against Westland. I think Johnson could be a nice scoring sparkplug early in his college career due to his microwave ability.

Johnson was maybe the top scorer of the entire camp as he was flat out getting buckets on Saturday. A point guard with a lot of ability with the ball in his hands, Johnson has the ball on a string and can knock down contested jumpers. Incredibly gifted offensively as he can flat out get a bucket for his team. Want to see Johnson playing in a more organized setting with Thomas Worthington this winter, he’s came to our camp the past two years and lit the gym up with his offensive talent.

Johnson is one of the better scores I have seen this preseason at events. He can score in bunches and has the confidence that he will score any time he touches it. He has a quick shot and moves to create space for himself. He scored in high volumes all day long.

I sadly wasn’t able to catch Thomas Worthington this season but his production with numerous 20+ point scoring performances caught our eyes. We were impressed with what Johnson showed us at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo back in the Fall, Johnson showed off his shiftiness with the ball in his hands and perimeter scoring ability. Hopefully we’ll get to see Johnson in an organized setting with either his grassroots team or high school team this summer. He’s a name we’re intrigued by and want to continue to see more as he prepares for his senior season.

Johnson is a bucket-getter most truly. This kid scored the opening 12 points for his team and dropped over 20 in Thomas Worthington’s loss on Tuesday night. Johnson has a knack for scoring points. He is not going to impress you with the eye test but he will with his skills. He gets to his spot and makes some tightly contested shots. He elevates high when he shoots the ball which allows him to make these contested shots consistently. He is a volume shooter. He gets all of his points in the half-court from midrange and three-point shooting. He has an unlimited range. He has good length for his size which allows him to be a really good on-ball defender. He poked the ball out of a couple of times which led to easy layups.

A new name for myself, Johnson really caught my eye with a diverse scoring effort. Hit some early 3-pointers showing the confidence to make shots off the bounce from long distance. As a point guard, Johnson also made some impressive passes including a behind the back dime for an easy layup. Defensively, Johnson had a pickpocket steal and jumped a passing lane for a steal, both led to easy layups. I left really impressed with Johnson’s game as one of the top performers I had previously been unaware of.
