Camden County Tournament: Bishop Eustace 58, Woodbury 53

In what looked early on like a potential blowout, fifth-seeded Bishop Eustace held on narrowly over Woodbury to advance to the quarterfinals of the Camden County tournament. Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2534483' first='Dillon' last='Adomanis'] led the way for the Crusaders up front with a 26-point performance.    Adomanis established himself early as a presence up front and kept it up throughout the game, dominating for stretches en route to 26 points. He shows a great feel for making himself available in a variety of halfcourt spots, with strong hands and plus feel as a passer to complement his interior finishing ability. While the jumper wasn't working tonight, Adomanis did step out a couple times and has shown that to be a dimension of his game in the past. He showed a new element tonight as a slasher from the perimeter for a couple impressive buckets. Adomanis has come into his own this year and should approach D1 recruitment with an expected reclass to 2027 on the horizon down the line.     Semiraglio had his hands all over the win for the Crusaders, handling the primary perimeter scoring load and coming up with a big play seemingly whenever an opposing run needed to be answered. He was balanced in his scoring, picking his spots against the Woodbury zone and converting on easy opportunities in transition. A 1,000 point scorer already, Semiraglio also contributed in the floor game with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Should be a popular name among area small-college coaches.     Glassmacher may not have been a huge factor as a scorer, but stood out doing a lot of the little things in a glue-guy role. He used his size and chiseled frame to work into the middle of the opponents' zone where he routinely made the right read to finish or set up a teammate for an easy look. He also looked to embrace physicality en route to 8 rebounds. Would like to see him incorporate more of a floor-spacing element at times, but there's plenty Glassmacher can bring to the table for the right program.     Woodbury was facing a sizable early deficit before turning to Heigler off the bench, and the junior guard answered the bell by delivering instant offense to sway the momentum of the game. He was aggressive from the moment he hit the floor, using a mix of breakdown moves to get into the paint and space-creation maneuvers on the perimeter for pullup jumpers (four 3's). He'll have to slow down a bit and improve as a playmaker for others at the next level, but Heigler's microwave scoring ability should surely attract attention over the next year.     It was a relatively rough outing for the Thundering Herd's leading scorer on the season, but Williams still showed some of the potent offensive ability that has him well on his way to the 1,000-point plateau. With 85 made 3's on the year, he failed to knock one down tonight but showed some punch off the bounce on his way to crafty runners and a tough finish through contact. It was good to see him fight through the shooting woes and a really quiet first half to help drag his team back into the game. We'll be continuing to track Williams into the grassroots season.     It took him a bit to get going, but Solomon's physicality and athleticism working downhill were key to shifting the momentum back in Woodbury's direction late in the first half. Also a football player and high jumper, he applies traits from both sports on the hardwood while racking up over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in his career. The one key hole in his game at this stage is the lack of a perimeter jumper. He's an unorthodox player who plays far bigger than his size, and there's surely a college program who can make use of Solomon's tough-nosed attack.     Catching the eye immediately with his fluid athleticism, Mann showed he has some game to match on his way to a balanced two-way impact. He shines as a defender across the perimeter and an active rebounder from the wing. Offensively Mann shows a nose for the rim in transition with nice body control as a finisher. We'd like to see more from him as a shooter and ballhandler as we evaluate him more. Also a talented football player, but Mann surely looks like a college-level hoops prospect should he choose to go that route.
