Prep Hoops Michigan has recently come out with a Watch List for the class of 2028. There are a lot of talented players that entered the high school scene this season and there are some very skilled point guards among them. We're going to take a closer look at a few of the point guards that can be found on the Watch List.

https://prephoops.com/michigan/rankings/2028-rankings/

You can read additional 2028 Watch List analysis below!

https://prephoops.com/2025/02/2028-watch-list-release-post-players/

Goff is one of the most exciting freshman in the state. He's a high IQ player that just naturally fits the point. Goff is a really smart shooter. He can fill it up from behind the arc, but already has a good feel for when and where to do it. Goff also has some pretty touch from mid range. He's the type of floor general that will always find a way to positively influence his team.

Lillmars is a guard to keep your eye on over the next few years. He can handle, advance the ball and initiate the offense. That being said, Lillmars can fill it up from behind the arc. He can force the defense to pick him up early so he doesn't step into a jumper, which can in turn open up lanes and opportunities for teammates.

I saw McCoy for the first time earlier this high school season and I came away thoroughly impressed. He's small in stature, but huge in game. McCoy is quick with and without the basketball. He'll swing it on the perimeter and then work without it. This gets him free for the kick back where he can utilize his jumper with 3 point range.

Let's just state the obvious - [player_tooltip player_id='2140494' first='Eli' last='Wolfe'] is an elite guard talent with uncappable upside. It's rare to find a freshman floor general that can create, distribute and score - all at such a high level. The best part may be the young man that comes with the skills. Wolfe is a positive gym presence and a great representation of a program.

Russell showed some intriguing skills and upside at the Prep Hoops Michigan Freshman Showcase. Russell brings energy to both ends of the floor and is a willing defender that seems to take pride in it.
