Here are the top forwards from this Weekend When the Sides Collide Shootout.

[player_tooltip player_id='2326966' first='Moses' last='Wilson'] Waubonsie Valley 2025

Moses may be the most athletic player in the state. He is always a threat to catch lobs when near the basket. His length makes him dangerous in transition and on defense. Wilson had several dunks most coming from transition plays. An underrated skill he has is his shooting. He made two needed shots when the Warriors struggled to score. As a defender he continued to use his length to get hands on steals and reject most shots at the basket. He had 15 points to go with 7 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125659' first='Kristopher' last='Mporokoso'] Waubonsie Valley 2027

Kris is an emerging shooter who hit a couple of shots from the wing against Marist. He plays hard and scores well with spacing. What I like about Mporokoso is how well he guards multiple positions on the court. He finished with 10 points and a handful of rebounds.

Karson Thomas Marist 2026

Karson is a physically imposing wing that plays hard on both ends. He went on a mini run in the third quarter impacting the game with his energy and effort. Scoring off hustle plays finishing through contact and getting fouled each time. Thomas has finally figured his role out on this hot Redwings squad it can only get better for him the rest of the season. He had 13 points

[player_tooltip player_id='2375627' first='Marquis' last='Vance'] Marist 2025

Vance is an energy guy who guards multiple positions on the court. He went out with an injury for a couple of possessions. But when he returned he scored two buckets to give his team its first lead before halftime. Later in the game he made a key play by stealing the ball from Wilson and throwing it off of him to give the ball back to Marist and seal the win. Marquis managed to score 6 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2321421' first='Kendall' last='Cutler'] Bolingbrook 2025

Cutler continues to be the overlooked starter on this loaded Bolingbrook team. He's been nothing but consistent in the last couple of games. Kendall is a terrific space-out shooter who knows how to get open when Thompson and Pettigrew are getting paint touches. He hit the first three shots from behind the arc to get the Raiders going. In the second half, he was able to hit a few mid-range shots before finishing up with 14 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2437515' first='Jack' last='Wolf'] Warren 2025

Jack was a huge factor in Warren's upset win over Bolingbrook. The energy and activity that he played with was very infectious to his team. Wolf was terrific on the glass always being around the ball on missed shots. He scored around the basket several times using footwork and feel to finish plays. Jack kept many possessions alive because he had a nose for the ball. He finished with 20 points in an impressive showing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105169' first='Arden' last='Eaves'] Homewood Flossmoor 2025

Eaves had everything going well for him on Saturday. His first couple of shots saw nothing but the bottom of the net. Arden had a slight edge with DePaul's big man [player_tooltip player_id='1845360' first='Rashaun' last='Porter'] out near the perimeter using his quickness and shooting. Porter would exchange buckets with him throughout the game. The future Lewis Flyer has been a huge addition to this H-F team his shooting stretches other big men out to cover him away from the basket which opens up lanes for the guards to attack the rim. He finished with 17 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766505' first='Aiden' last='Derose'] Homewood Flossmoor 2025

Derose played solid minutes against DePaul Prep. Aiden is an exceptional shooter with range. He didn't score much but did do a good job defending the Rams guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2505371' first='Gus' last='Donohue'] DePaul Prep 2025

Gus is a plus shooter who got some quality minutes against H-F didn't get many shots off but still was effective with his floor spacing and drawing attention in the corner.
