WALLY KELLER CLASSIC Standouts, First Five

Charlotte once again hosted one of the top tournaments in the State, and the 19th Annual Wally Keller Classic did not disappoint. This past weekend some of the top teams throughout Florida got together and played some outstanding and exciting basketball, and also displayed some great talent from across the entire state. Let's take a closer look at some of those prospects who really stood out and took advantage of this stage.    Livingston is a tremendous all-around player, who has the ability to fill the stat sheet night in and night out. He is an excellent defender with both quick feet and quick hands, and looks to force turnovers and turn defense into offense. He is a score 1st guard who can score on all 3-levels, and with elite handles and great court vision he is a true floor general every time he steps on the court. Livingston can score in bunches, and when he gets hot or left open he is deadly from behind the arc.     A super athletic and bouncy guard, Ochan, has been doing a little bit of everything for the Griffins lately. The senior CG has a tremendous first step and is very efficient at attacking the basket. He can finish at the rim with either hand or find the open man outside for the shot. Ochan is quick off the floor and an excellent rebounder on both ends of the court. His athleticism allows him to guard multiple positions and be a huge asset on the defensive side of the ball, including a game saving block in the win over Discovery this past Saturday.     Gayle is a strong, athletic prospect and an excellent 2-way player. The 6'4" CG is a 3-level scorer, who when he gets hot, seems to be an unstoppable force at times. He has a smooth stroke from the outside, but is also a tremendous slasher who can finish at the rim. He is excellent in transition and has solid court vision where he looks to get his teammates involved. Gayle is a huge asset on the boards for Central, and defensively he has the ability to guard any position when he's on the floor.     The sophomore PG for Berkeley Prep has a tremendous basketball IQ and plays the game with a very cool and calm demeanor for a prospect his age. Grimsley likes to play with the ball in his hands and facilitate the offense. He handles the ball extremely well and is an excellent passer, who always seems to find the open man. He has the ability to create his own shot, by attacking the basket and finishing around the rim, or by stopping on a dime and nailing the mid-range jumper, which he shoots at a high rate.     Robinson is one of those players who can do a little bit of everything. The 6'5" senior is averaging 14.3 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 4.4 apg, and 3.6 spg, as you can see he really fills the stat sheet and seems to flirt with triple-double numbers every time he steps on the floor. He can score inside and out, but is also a smart player who doesn't seem to force many bad shots. He rebounds the ball extremely well from the guard position, and is pesky defender who won't back down from any assignment.
