Updated Class B Power Rankings

It is almost mid-January, PHD figured it was a good time to update our Class B Power Rankings. The weather is cold but the basketball season and competition is heating up! [player_tooltip player_id='2312607' first='Bradon' last='Wallace'] is really starting to turn it on and is a player to watch. [player_tooltip player_id='2312608' first='Hunter' last='Wolff'] was out sick vs. EKM but his little brother [player_tooltip player_id='2347919' first='Hudson' last='Wolff'] stepped up and hit 4/5 three-pointers! [player_tooltip player_id='2312611' first='Teigen' last='Earsley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1381719' first='Dontaye' last='Fetzer'] are also talented ball players who can put up splashy numbers. 6'5" [player_tooltip player_id='2728541' first='William' last='Bergquist'] is an X-Factor for the Miners. WW has been hampered by sickness as of late, let's hope they get healthy soon. The Miners have a huge game on Saturday at undefeated Glen Ullin-Hebron. This will be a great test as the Bearcats are a tough/talented squad and Glen Ullin is a difficult place to play.   #2 Bishop Ryan   Record: 7-0   Recent Games: WIN 62-26 vs. South Prairie-Max, WIN 64-26 vs. Harvey-Wells County   Next Up: January 13th @ Drake-Anamoose   Team Info: All the Lions do is win and all but one game this season have been blowouts. ORCS played Bishop to a 6 points game, otherwise, the Lions have crushed everyone. Ryan is averaging 68 ppg and holding opponents to 37 ppg. The Lions are led by [player_tooltip player_id='1189452' first='Ramsey' last='Walz'] (best BIG in B), [player_tooltip player_id='1376819' first='Jett' last='Lundeen'], [player_tooltip player_id='2132778' first='Peyton' last='Seay'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1657450' first='Izaac' last='Strandlien']. Ryan should get tested a couple of times this week, they have interesting matchups on Tuesday with Des Lacs-Burlington and Thursday with Velva.   #3 Our Redeemer's   Record: WIN 58-44 vs. Westhope-Newburg, WIN 75-44 vs. Kenmare-Bowbells   Recent Games: 7-1   Next Up: January 14th home vs. Harvey-Wells County   Team Info: The Knights recently had a monumental victory over the Sioux from Westhope-Newburg. [player_tooltip player_id='2237731' first='Nolan' last='Schmidt']'s defense was outstanding vs. the Sioux, he played a key role in the victory. PHD has said this in the past, but Schmidt is one of the best defenders in ND. [player_tooltip player_id='1632697' first='Payten' last='Lindbo'] has made an impressive 10 triples in the last two games. [player_tooltip player_id='2237753' first='Wyatt' last='Weekley'] continues to play well for the Knights, he does a ton for ORCS. This squad is the real deal!   #4 Hankinson   Record: WIN 74-43 vs. Waverly-South Shore, WIN 69-24 vs. Tiospa Zina   Recent Games: 6-0   Next Up: January 14th @ Richland   Team Info: The Pirates are smooth sailing through 6 games. Hankinson is averaging 73 ppg and opponents are only averaging 43 ppg. [player_tooltip player_id='1559968' first='RaeShaun' last='Earl'] leads the Pirates and is playing like a 1st Team All-Stater, he is averaging 32 ppg. [player_tooltip player_id='2349038' first='Andrew' last='Jean'] is another stud for the Pirates, he is averaging 17 ppg and a boatload of rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id='2694130' first='Matthew' last='Bladow'] is the third Pirate averaging in double figures (11 ppg). Coach Mauch's team has looked unstoppable up to this point, the top ballers are thriving, the role players are doing their jobs and exceeding expectations.   #5 North Border   Record: 7-0   Recent Games: WIN 63-41 vs. North Prairie, WIN 59-43 vs. Cavalier   Next Up: January 18th home vs. Richland   Team Info: The Eagles have not been at full strength/100% healthy yet, but they should be soon. The scary part is, North Border has been missing guys and they are still 7-0. The offense is not running like a Swiss watch yet, but that should be coming soon. Howver, the Eagles are defending well. [player_tooltip player_id='2237765' first='Kaden' last='Moore'], [player_tooltip player_id='1165355' first='Grant' last='Cosley'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1886038' first='Brody' last='Berg'] have been the bright spots on the offensive end. Beware of the Eagles! They have Midway-Minto on the schedule next week, that will be the first true test of the season.   #6 Velva   Record: 7-0   Recent Games: WIN 66-65 vs. Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood   Next Up: January 14th @ Westhope-Newburg   Team Info: The Aggies have the BIG 3 with McPeak, Schepp, Bruner, and a handful of hard workers and glue guys. [player_tooltip player_id='2360582' first='Mason' last='McPeak'] is averaging around 22 ppg, [player_tooltip player_id='1329684' first='Ben' last='Schepp'] is a Double-Double machine with 11 ppg & 10 rpg, and [player_tooltip player_id='1329685' first='Reggie' last='Bruner'] is around 16 ppg & 7 rpg. Bruner also scored his 1,000th career point on Friday night, welcome to the 1K Club Reggie! The Aggies have a daunting week ahead of them with away games at Westhope and Bishop Ryan.   #7 Glen Ullin-Hebron   Record: 9-0   Recent Games: WIN 64-33 vs. South Border, WIN 62-58 vs. Medina-Pingree-Buchanan   Next Up: January 13th at Lemmon   Team Info: The Bearcats have a tough week ahead of them with a game on Monday in South Dakota gainst a solid squad and a tough test on Saturday at home against #1 Wilton-Wing. GHU has looked good as of late and they are playing team basketball. Everyone is doing their job and several players are scoring the rock at a nice clip. [player_tooltip player_id='1751686' first='Riley' last='Schneider'], [player_tooltip player_id='2342227' first='Ryan' last='Schneider'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2335363' first='Jaxon' last='Rolle'] are three of the top cats to keep eyes on. The Bearcats play an old school style of basketball and they are a tough group, they no doubt get that from Coach Bruce Schatz.   #8 Midway-Minto   Record: 6-0   Recent Games: WIN 80-57 s. Warwick, WIN 68-25 vs. Kidder County, WIN 59-47 vs. Ellendale   Next Up: January 13th @ Park River-Fordville-Lankin   Team Info: In the Mustang win over Warwick, they were led by [player_tooltip player_id='2728364' first='Aiden' last='Lunske'] with 15 points, [player_tooltip player_id='1537902' first='Trenton' last='Sitzer'] 13, and [player_tooltip player_id='1632692' first='Elijah' last='Robinson'] chipped in 11 points. In the MM win over Kidder County, they were led by [player_tooltip player_id='1632692' first='Elijah' last='Robinson'] with 23 points, [player_tooltip player_id='2728364' first='Aiden' last='Lunske'] added 17, and [player_tooltip player_id='1632700' first='Ezra' last='Robinson'] went for 11. The Mustangs play tomorrow, and then they have a week off to prepare for a monster matchup with North Border on Monday the 20th.   #9 New Rockford-Sheyenne   Record: 6-1   Recent Games: WIN 79-44 vs. Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter, LOST 72-70 vs. Carrington   Next Up: January 14th home vs. St. John   Team Info: PH caught the Carrington game and [player_tooltip player_id='1632742' first='Easton' last='Simon'] lived up to the hype of being a stud. He went for 27 points and hit a clutch three-pointer late in the game to tie it up. Simon has to be a top PG in all of class B, he has all the tools, size, and athleticism to compete with the best. [player_tooltip player_id='2270646' first='Easton' last='Benz'] is also a quality player with athleticism, effort, and high energy. When you add in 6'3" versatile athlete [player_tooltip player_id='2270551' first='Bennett' last='Meier'], the Rockets have a nice 1-2-3 combination. NRS has a slew of other role/depth guys that do a good job. When it comes to tournament time, PHD will not be surprised if Coach Cook's team is in serious contention for State.   #10 Westhope-Newburg   Record: 5-2   Recent Games: LOST 58-44 vs. Our Redeemer's   Next Up: January 14th home vs. Velva   Team Info: The Sioux have two losses but both came from Top 10 teams. [player_tooltip player_id='1169145' first='Walker' last='Braaten'] is one of the elite ballers in the State, [player_tooltip player_id='1355223' first='Braden' last='Bailey'] is a quick creator/playmaker, and [player_tooltip player_id='1717045' first='Hunter' last='Tolstad'] is a workhorse around the paint. The Sioux have a handful of other hustlers, shooters, and role guys who can make winning plays.
