Three Up

Marshall (13-3). The Tigers are on a seven game winning streak and the closest game was a 13 point win. Four of the teams were big school teams and one was over a very good Redwood Valley team. [player_tooltip player_id='2104550' first='Alex' last='Franson'], [player_tooltip player_id='2109878' first='Cooper' last='Mensink'], Davion Xayarath, Levi Maeyeart and Mason Graven are a balanced group that continues to play well with one another. Things are about to get tougher though with Belle Plaine, Brandon Valley and Waseca coming up.

Minneapolis Roosevelt (8-6). The Teddies had a nice finish to last season, but they started the season with three straight losses. Since then, the Teddies have won eight of eleven games with recent wins over Rockford, Simley, and a key league win beating South. Can they get back in the City race? Games with Camden, Washburn, Edison and South are coming up. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1560875' first='Calvin' last='Peterson'] leads Roosevelt scoring 21 a game.

Mahtomedi (9-6). Last year the Zephyrs lost their first seven games, and then went 16-12 for the season. This year...they started 4-1 but then had a four game losing streak around the holidays. However, the Zephyrs have won five of six including league wins over STA, SSP, and NSP. Games with Hastings and Tartan are up coming and the only Mahtomedi league loss is to Tartan. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2465510' first='Mark' last='Graff'] and sophomore forward [player_tooltip player_id='2140712' first='Willie' last='Roelofs'] are leading with 18 and 16 points per game respectively.

Three Down

Big Lake (4-9). Big Lake went from a surprising start to a five game losing streak and they are one of five Class AAA teams giving up 80+ points a game. Next up is 2-12 North Branch so a chance to get back on track. Plus, Max Siegrist is scoring 21 a game so they have a guy they can go to to score.

Hill-Murray (4-10). The Pioneers looked like a team that could be pretty good but they are having a lot of trouble scoring (52 points a game) and they have lost six games in a row. [player_tooltip player_id='1288719' first='Xavier' last='Daniels'] is scoring 15 a game and they will need it versus 7-3 North St. Paul coming up.

Columbia Heights (3-12). Yes the Hylanders lost a coach and their top players and the record is tough but honestly, they've given Fridley and Park runs recently. It's been a tough season giving up nearly 85 points a games. Julian Manjo leads the team with 14 points a game.
