Holy Angels (7-5). It's been quite a ride for the kids in the AHA program. They were 7-19 a few years ago and the school replaced their coach. They brought in a new coach with a lot of headlines and they went 6-21. After one year it was another new coach for 2024-25. There were some transfers out and a 1-3 start BUT the Stars have found a groove winning their last four games and six out of their last eight games (including a six point win over last year's coach who is now at winless Kennedy). Junior [player_tooltip player_id='2120498' first='Blake' last='Nixon'] leads the team with 21 points a game followed by four guys averaging between nine and eleven points a contest.

Princeton (7-6). The Tigers have won three in a row and five of their last seven games. [player_tooltip player_id='2121382' first='Noah' last='Stencel'] is scoring 21.5 points a game followed by the 16.5 points a contest from junior [player_tooltip player_id='1617713' first='Harrison' last='Lupkes']. Lupkes is quite an all around talent averaging 16.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 2.3 steals a game. Soon the Tigers will have upcoming important games with Denfeld and Zimmerman.

Marshall (10-3). It's been quite a strong year for the Tigers who are winning all of the games they should be, they've been able to knock off some teams that have slipped some (West, Delano, New Ulm and Worthington) plus had good wins over Tea and Redwood Valley. Senior Big Jack Meier had 21 to beat West and he averaged three points a game a year ago.

Three Down

Red Wing (5-8). It was really a nice start to the year for Red Wing but they have since lost seven of their last eight including a loss to Winona who is now 1-12 after beating Red Wing. Senior JuJu Koehler is scoring 20 a game for Red Wing and he has a challenge in front of him with some of the best teams in the league coming up.

Two Rivers (6-8). The 6-3 start from Two Rivers was great to see as those scarlet and gold colors winning games reminded many of the past. But five losses in a row - two close games, three blowouts - has them somewhat back to where they were. They have winnable games coming up thought to try and start a winning streak. [player_tooltip player_id='1560793' first='Lamont' last='Michaels'] leads the team at 16 points a contest.

Hermantown (2-10). I predicted Hermantown to be pretty solid this year as they had a starter and some reserves back, but they have not been solid. They are giving up almost 85 points a game! Doesn't look like any box scores have been turned in so its tough to know if they are injured or hurting, but this is a program that has been very good for a long time that has hit a lull.
