I attended the annual Tarkanian Classic from December 15th-21st at Bishop Gorman HS, the Orleans Arena and other nearby Nevada HS locations. Many local teams challenged themselves throughout the week versus mostly West Coast competition in the prep or HS division.

[player_tooltip player_id='1393777' first='Jyson' last='Kim'] Phhoenix Prep EIBC

A newcomer by way of Florida moved in to town and has some size and skill. He will catch and shoot from the three point line and rattle them in. He gets hot very quickly and can take it to the basket. A great addition to the team who comes with a high IQ and a strap.

[player_tooltip player_id='1050413' first='Elijah' last='Brown'] Hillcrest Prep

A bigger sized scoring guard who committed to Wagner. He is tough and comes with some strength and skill. The natural downhill, thicker guard is very hard to keep in front of. He also moves his feet well on defense with a stocky frame and long arms. He is a good passer and plays unselfishly.

[player_tooltip player_id='2302768' first='Hayden' last='Stebbins'] Notre Dame Prep

A strong framed scoring guard can shoot it with range from well beyond the three point line. He can give a hard ball fake and drive it with his left or right hand and can score it in traffic. He rebounds well in his area and plays a smart brand of ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1491233' first='Will' last='Feagles'] Notre Dame Prep

A scoring guard was quiet in the first half but found his groove in the second half. He can hit the three off the catch and can get a step on his defender and get to the rim. He is a plus athlete who takes long strides. When he plays well, the Saints are a tough out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256520' first='Ty' last='Virgil'] Hillcrest Prep

A taller big sized scoring guard had a good showing. The Pepperdine commit showed off his game and skills. He was hitting deep triples off the catch and will pull up from mid-range with on the move jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450990' first='Shelton' last='Henton'] Phhoneix Prep EIBC

One of the best shooters in the state with some size. He is a true catch and shoot 3pt sniper. He will rattle them off mostly off the catch but will make some on the move impressively too. He can fall away from the post and plays a cerebral brand of ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560912' first='Deandray' last='Hamilton'] Bella Vista Prep

A two-way shooting guard can score and defend. He likes getting downhill to the basket and plays the passing lanes and will dunk it on the break effortlessly. He can also shoot it from the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2573957' first='Amari' last='Upshaw'] Bella Vista Prep

A talented three level scorer with some size. He can make plays for his teammates and score. He will hit the catch three, he shows good body control in traffic and rebounds well with his size. His plus length and agility makes him a good defender long term.
