County tournaments are set to tip off soon with February right around the corner. Somerset County is a county that will be intriguing to watch as multiple prospects have the opportunity to have big tournaments. Here are the Somerset County Tournament prospects to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2303744' first='Kobe' last='Closeil'], 6'2 PG Gill St. Bernard's 2025

Closeil leads a balanced Knights' attack that is looking to win their first Somerset County tournament since 2022. The 6'2 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender off the bounce and finishes nicely around the basket. Closeil can also score in the mid-range and sets his feet before he shoots. He is an underrated passer and is a tough on-ball defender. Closeil is a gritty guard prospect whose ability to make plays at both ends of the floor will help Gill St. Bernard's make a deep run in the postseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1790209' first='Ethan' last='Lin'], 6'3 PG Montgomery 2026

Lin has been playing at a high level for the Cougars all season, averaging 19 points per game. The 6'3 guard has a nice handle, which he uses to get to the rim and can finish through contact. Lin is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He uses his size to see over his defender and has the length to defend both backcourt spots. Lin has six 20-point games this season and should have more games like that in the county tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1456864' first='Myles' last='Parker'], 6'7 SG Rutgers Prep 2025

Parker has been a consistent presence on the wing for the Argonauts and is looking to end his varsity career with a third straight county tournament title. The Marist commit has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Parker can also finish around the basket and is an underrated passer. He is a solid rebounder and uses his length to make plays on the defensive end. Parker has five games with at least five assists this season and his ability to influence the offense in a variety of ways will help his game over the next couple of weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1412734' first='Luke' last='Kreitz'], 6'0 PG Ridge 2025

Kreitz has been making plays all season long for the Red Devils and is looking to lead them deep into the county tournament. The 6'0 guard has a clean shooting stroke and sets his feet before he shoots. Kreitz moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the halfcourt. He is a strong rebounder and rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure. Kreitz is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance during the postseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='2731718' first='Riley' last='Gorman'], 6'2 SG Immaculata 2026

Gorman has made an immediate impact with the Spartans as he's averaging nearly 19 points per game this season. The 6'2 guard wastes little motion in his release and makes opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. Gorman can also score in the mid-range and rarely forces shots in the halfcourt. He is an underrated rebounder and is able to get deflections on defense. Gorman has nine 20-point games this season and is looking to add to that total in the county tournament.
