-Love the development in his senior year as a CG that is much more comfortable on the ball creating shots for himself and teammates. Chinnia-Falline had a smooth drive and drop off to the big on the opposite block, got 2 feet in the paint and hit a corner shooter with a great chest pass, got his team going in transition, and is using a reverse pivot much better to create easier passing angles when he gets into the heart of the defense in the paint. He also showed his 3-level scoring ability with a face up 3 off the DHO, relocated to the corner to get a skip pass and hit the corner 3, hit a midrange jumper from the elbow, and hit a pair of FTs after getting fouled on a rebound to put the game away late. Interested to see where the available 2025 guard ends up!

-Took advantage of some extended playing time to really fill it up for a Calvert Hall that needed his production. Nalty started it off with a stepback 3 from the wing then hit two more C+S looks from beyond the arc in the first few minutes of the game. Nalty then scored off a rip through drive and layup at the rim, a baseline floater that hit nothing but net, got his defender off balance with the jab step before hitting the 1-dribble pull-up middie from the wing. Nalty also impacted the game defensively, ripping away a steal on a great dig from the backside baseline on one play and poking out another steal on-ball before going C2C for the lay. Could've extended a career high night if he didn't injure his ankle midway through the 4Q.

-Ehrenfried served as an effective connector on the perimeter throughout the game, moving the ball to touch the other side of the floor while knocking down open perimeter looks or sneaking in to score on putbacks or backdoor layups. His floater after snagging a steal from midair on an errant pass led to a big time reverse finish to punctuate a Seahawks run that forced the other team to call time. His willingness to slide his feet defensively or chest up with forwards is pretty crucial for a South River team that graduated most of its size and needs that competitive edge.

-Really popped in a game against another undefeated game in the county with unselfish play as a guard that did the little things that ended up giving NC the 8-point win. Catlin hit an athletic double clutch lay in transition, scored on a well-timed back cut for 2, sprinted out hard in transition to get 3 runout lays, and hit a big C+S corner 3 in the 4Q to stop a South River run. Loved his feel as an off-ball mover that instinctly moves to space and impacted the game without over-dribbling or needing plays run for him to be successful.

-Unfortunately don't have his other stats in this game, but I can say he definitely had a double-double to go along with 24 points and a few blocks in a big-time matchup in the paint with St. Mary's DiBitetto. Toms scored a nice runner with the right off glass through the contact for the And1 (made the ensuing FT), rolled hard to the rim after setting solid screens to create that extra step of space to finish past the help defender or his trailing defensive matchup, and really fought hard to push the opposing front line off the block. His late face-up J off glass from the elbow cut the lead to 2 under a minute left after he also made the ensuing FT in a close loss. Love the motor that he plays with at both ends and his touch in the paint has improved quite a bit since our last viewing.

-Effective shooter off the bench for a North County team that really thrived off the driving angles created by his shooting in both games. Blake knocked down open C+S looks with more consistent shot preparation and footwork to lead into a rhythmic 1-2 footfall that has smoothened out his jumper. He contributes enough in other areas both as a help defender, rebounder, and wing connector to earn him extended run on a revamped NC team poised to challenge for an AA County Championship

-Had an efficient and impactful game whether he was on or off the ball in an OT win over rival North County. Turman scored on a curl around the baseline screen for a corner 3, stuck a 1-dribble pull-up middy, got past his matchup with a double crossover and scored on a middle drive floater off glass, and hit a C+S wing 3 to set the tone in the first half. Turman continued the scoring performance but started to show his value at the defensive end of the floor with a thunderous chasedown block off the glass and an inspired full sprint back in transition to force a miss before collecting the rebound to go coast to coast and score on a layup through contact at the opposite end. Turman is really strong for his size and uses that to leverage himself over ball screens and chip down on bigs to rebound the basketball.
