<p>On Saturday, January 11th, Hoop Group hosted their annual Boardwalk Showcase, this year at Georgian Court University. This year's showcase consisted of matchups between Manasquan and Christian Brothers Academy, St. Rose and Gill St. Bernard's and lastly, Central Regional and Red Bank Regional. Let's take a look at some backcourt guys that stood out throughout out the course of Saturday's action. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Taking home MVP honors and finishing with 25 points against Christian Brothers Academy, Ryan Weinseimer's ability to make shots from all over the court was on full display. Weinseimer was super effective playing off screens and pin downs, with good poise, showcasing his ability to attack the basket and get to his mid range jumper. Weinseimer's perimeter skillset was also on display, as he was able to knock down 4 total threes in a variety of ways, off the catch, off the dribble and from range, well behind the three point line. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Capping the day off with 17 points for Gill St. Bernard's, [player_tooltip player_id='2397968' first='Connor' last='Junker'] excelled in the way he was able to shoot the ball, more particularly off the catch from three point range. Possessing a quick release, Junker was able to shoot it well coming off screens, in transition, as well as get his shot off quick before defenders closed out on him. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Finishing the day off with 13 points against Gill St. Bernard's, [player_tooltip player_id='1411642' first='Evan' last='Romano'] displayed not only his ability to shoot it from three point range but also making winning plays and impact the game in multiple ways. Romano was able to knock down multiple looks from three point range, attack the basket and get to the free throw line. Romano was also effective in doing a lot of the little things, being a disruptive defender, rebounding well for his position, and making his teammates better. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Jayden Santucci's ability to score in the flow of the game was on full display throughout the course of this game against Red Bank Regional. Finishing the game with 18 points, Santucci was able to get going finishing at the basket, creating opportunities for himself at the rim, getting offensive putbacks, cutting open to the basket, and finishing plays in transition. Santucci also had 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals, and 1 block. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2632357' first='Jayson' last='King'] was super effective in the ways he was not only able to create scoring opportunities for himself but also put his teammates in position to be successful as well. In terms of creating for himself, King was able to hit multiple mid range jumpers off the bounce. King also knocked down a couple open catch and shoot threes. In terms of creating opportunities for his teammates, King did a good job of hitting cutters in the half court as well as finding guys ahead in transition. King was also super disruptive as a defender, pressuring the ball and playing with great anticipation. King finished the game with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. </p>
