Rocca stood out as a sharpshooter from beyond the arc, showcasing his lethal touch as a two-guard. He knocked down two clean catch-and-shoot threes in the first half, displaying a pure and effortless stroke. His third three-pointer of the night was a pivotal moment, putting Evanston ahead 38-35 in the fourth quarter—their first lead since the opening frame.   Rocca also used his larger frame to seal a smaller defender for a well-executed post entry and layup. In the second overtime, he sank two technical free throws after Glenbrook South mistakenly called a timeout with none remaining. Those free throws effectively sealed the game and crushed Glenbrook South's comeback hopes. Rocca finished with an impressive 15 points in a clutch performance.     As one of the top-ranked big men and players in the class of 2027, Fuller delivered a strong performance, particularly with his three-point shooting and rebounding. He stretched the floor, connecting on four three-pointers, including two from well beyond the arc.   While his perimeter skills are clear, I'd like to see Fuller establish more of an inside presence. Utilizing his height and length to create mismatches and put added pressure on the defense would round out his game. This is an area for development as he continues to grow this season and beyond.   On the boards, Fuller showed solid rebounding instincts, frequently high-pointing missed shots and using his long arms to secure possessions. However, improving his strength and ball security is key—there were moments when bringing the ball down allowed defending guards to disrupt him. With added strength and more assertiveness inside, Fuller has the potential to dominate on both ends of the court.     Ojala has been on our radar since his performance at our last Freshman Showcase. We also caught his talent this past summer at the Ridgewood Shootout, but this was my first time seeing him compete during the regular season. As a starting freshman, there were moments where hesitation and nerves were evident—understandable for a player at this stage. However, Ojala didn't shy away from the moment and proved why he's a promising prospect.   Known for his range as a deep-scoring threat, Ojala delivered, sinking three triples in this contest. One of those came at a crucial juncture—a buzzer-beater before halftime that kept the Wildkits within three. His biggest moment, though, came in the second overtime, when he drained a clutch corner three to put Evanston up 50-47. It felt like the decisive dagger in the game.     Anestis was an absolute force against Evanston, showcasing his ability to counter everything the defense threw at him. He demonstrated three-level scoring with clutch shot-making throughout the game. Whether attacking the paint, applying pressure on Evanston's interior, or using a crafty up-and-under move, Anestis was a constant offensive threat. He also displayed excellent court vision, kicking out precise passes to open shooters, and his ball control was exceptional.   On the defensive end, the senior guard was just as impactful. His fiery intensity stood out as he hounded ball-handlers, used his quick feet to cut off drives, and brought relentless hustle to every possession.   Anestis finished with an efficient 23 points, hitting big shot after big shot to keep Glenbrook South in the game. His efforts were instrumental in nearly pulling off the upset. The senior forward is an outstanding all-around player who excels with smart, fundamental basketball rather than flashiness. Against Glenbrook South, Richardson showcased his versatility—rebounding strongly, hitting a three, blocking a shot, and providing a reliable inside presence.   Playing the power forward position in a traditional style, Richardson also has the range to stretch the floor with his three-point shooting. His ability to contribute across multiple facets of the game makes him a valuable asset on the court.   Richardson's skill set and basketball IQ suggest he's ready to compete at the next level. Small colleges should take note—this is a player with the tools to make an impact.     It's always refreshing to hear players communicate on the court, and Chatham excelled as a vocal leader. The senior consistently called out screens and directed his teammates on defense, showcasing his leadership qualities. He also used his length effectively, pulling down strong rebounds and disrupting opposing plays.   Offensively, Chatham is a steady lead guard. He handles the ball with poise, methodically attacks the rim, and distributes it effectively to his teammates. However, to elevate his game further, developing more consistency as a finisher at the rim would be a valuable next step.
