2028 SF [player_tooltip player_id='2523891' first='Carter' last='Thielen'] (Lewis Central) -- 39 points (12-26 FG, 6-13 3P, 9-11 FT), 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks [vs. Glenwood]

The 6-3 freshman wing has been great this season for the Titans, leading the team in scoring. His biggest scoring outburst of his young career came against Glenwood, scoring 39 points and showcasing his ability to score from anywhere on the floor. He's also a talented playmaker who creates quality looks off the dribble for himself and his teammates.

2025 PG Tarian McNeley (Des Moines North) -- 34 points (12-24 FG, 8-19 3P, 2-3 FT), 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals [vs. Ottumwa]

McNeley, a 6-0 guard, had a career game for the Polar Bears against Ottumwa, knocking down 8 3-pointers en route to 34 points. His 8 makes in that game were more than half of his total made 3s on the season.

2025 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1759932' first='Reed' last='Strohmeyer'] (Hempstead) -- 34 points (12-18 FG, 4-6 3P, 6-6 FT), 13 rebounds, 1 assist [vs. Hononegah (WI)]

Hempstead is having a rough year, but Strohmeyer, the 6-3 wing who can do a little bit of everything, has been a bright spot. He was excellent at the Wendy's Classic at Loras against a team from Wisconsin, keeping the Mustangs competitive with his 34 points on highly efficient shooting.

2028 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2523925' first='Trae' last='Fields'] (Cedar Rapids Washington) -- 33 points (12-25 FG, 5-10 3P, 4-6 FT), 1 rebound, 2 assists, 1 steal [vs. Iowa City West]

Fields is small, but man is he talented. He has the ball on a string, knows how to get to his spots off the dribble, sees the floor well, and shoots it really well off both the bounce and the catch. Going up against West shorthanded, the Warriors needed Fields to be fantastic to have any chance, and he was.

2025 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1288899' first='Xzavion' last='Robinson'] (Valley) -- 30 points (9-16 FG, 3-7 3P, 9-10 FT), 8 rebounds, 1 steal [vs. Cedar Falls]

In his first game back from injury, Robinson showed why he's one of the state's elite athletes, scoring 30 points on better than 50% shooting and showing the ability to score from all three levels against the state's top-ranked team. He opened the game with an explosive alley-oop dunk and never looked back.

2025 PF [player_tooltip player_id='1381403' first='Creighton' last='Bracker'] (Council Bluffs Lincoln) -- 22 points (9-17 FG, 0-1 3P, 4-8 FT), 20 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals [vs. Bellevue West (NE)]

Bracker has been one of the best rebounders in the 2025 class and he was great in that regard against what is always one of the best teams in Nebraska. He's a physical forward with great hands, and he does a great job making strong contact on his box outs.

2025 PF [player_tooltip player_id='1381412' first='Davis' last='Kern'] (Linn-Mar) -- 24 points (9-21 FG, 0-3 3P, 6-7 FT), 17 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 6 blocks [vs. Waterloo West]

One of the state's top players, Kern routinely puts up big numbers, but it's his two-way ability that made this performance a standout. He was dominant on the glass and as a rim-protector while putting together his usual offensive output.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1977422' first='Rio' last='Aguirre'] (Ankeny) -- 19 points (7-13 FG, 3-5 3P, 2-4 FT), 8 rebounds, 12 assists, 1 steal [vs. Centennial]

Aguirre set the school record for assists in a game against rival Centennial, showing that he was in complete command of the game on the offensive end. He's an elite scorer who does so efficiently from all three levels, but his playmaking has taken a major leap this year.
