Hightower has been a great addition to Garfield's backcourt, giving them another reliable ballhandler who can bring a calming presence on the ball and defend opposing ballhandlers at a high level. He's a guy who has shown great facilitating and decision-making, is patient on the attack, uses good footwork to get around defenders, and can knock down open shots from deep. He's had an immediate impact in the Bulldogs' rotation.

Richland is 14-0 on the year, and while they have two guys getting a lot of the attention for that, Woodard has also been a key piece stepping up to lead not just the team but the league in assists per game (4.3). He's also turned it over just 18 times in those 14 games while showing some defensive ability with 2.1 spg. He plays a lot like his brother Josh who was a standout on the court, leading Richland to the 4A title game last year. Jackson will be a kid to watch, and he surely will continue to rise as we get to see more of him on the hardwood.

Zettle is a new name who has really impressed us this season for the 12-2 West Valley Eagles. He's a shifty kid who can shoot the lights out and was averaging 15.4 ppg through January 8th. He's a little scrappy too and can create some turnovers on the defensive end but really is key for them offensively with his ability to create shots and play with pace in transition.

Stone O'Brien is a solid guard who can come off the bench and immediately take over handling the rock. And he's not just a kid who will bring the ball down, he has some toughness with the rock and can work his way to the rim. He works hard on both ends, has some ability to score from different levels, and has been getting some good minutes for a Ballard team that is 10-5 on the year.

Another kid coming up with a pretty good family lineage, Dykstra reminds us a lot of [player_tooltip player_id='1587970' first='Gannon' last='Dykstra'] when he was younger. He's a smaller kid but knows how to play the game and read the floor. He's a lefty and shoots the ball exceptionally well from deep, has the moves to create separation, and is quick and compact when working to get to space. He should be another kid who continues to rise up the ranks as time goes on and he begins to mature physically.
