Its not every year let alone every week we have so many freshman make immediate impact as we had this past week. Per usual, many small schools have to use freshman just out of sheer need for numbers. But this year we have some big schools with freshman who are either starting or playing crucial and meaningful minutes in this week's games. Not only did these freshman play but they made huge impacts on the game and each made large contributions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2395983' first='Dominic' last='Sprouse'] came into his first game as a George Washington Patriot and immediately made his presence felt on the defensive end early in the first quarter taking a charge during a close game with Wesley Christian. Sprouse didn't flinch on the offensive end either keeping the offense flowing through the playmakers of GW.

[player_tooltip player_id='2488808' first='Kingston' last='Smith'] also made his debut versus Wesley Christian which is a much bigger opponent than GW is likely to face throughout this season. However, Smith was cool under pressure and had great composure during times of the game that was intense and uptempo. Kingston looked the part and backed it up with his play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2395981' first='Jacari' last='Goode'] had the tough task of making his debut in back to back games on Friday and Saturday against formidable opponents nonetheless. Goode at first sight is a menace on defense with constant and heavy ball pressure with the ability to push the ball on the offensive end. Goode's paint touches and vision is tremendous for a freshman and will be a serious weapon going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2694392' first='Lucas' last='Lambert'] burst onto the high school basketball scene torching the nets for 25 points including 5 three-pointers in a debut against rival Westside. Just cracking the starting rotation at a talented program like Logan would be an accomplishment for any freshman, but Lambert obviously isn't gonna settle for the mediocre.

Payne put up 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and just one turnover in 13 minutes of time on the floor. Despite the loss, a great performance against a potential 4A state tournament qualifier while playing at the historic Hickory gym in Indiana.

Not that CM needed any further depth to their roster, but these two are so talented they've pushed the issue and worked their way onto the floor adding sharp shooting and athleticism.
