Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage of a classic small town rivalry game between Northeastern and Centerville. However, as always, we also had eyes and ears in gyms all across the state. There were just 13 games but we have enough to quickly recap some of the top matchups.

Northeastern Defeats Rival Centerville

As a Class of 2010 graduate of Centerville High School this is a game I've watched as much as any over the years. It was a packed house at Northeastern High School with both student sections stuffed to the brim making for a great Indiana High School Basketball atmosphere. These two county and conference rivals don't like each other very much. Centerville got off to a hot start knocking in a few early three-point shots and using the Knights' defensive pressure against them. However, as the game went on, Northeastern's press wore the Bulldogs down and turnovers piled up. [player_tooltip player_id='1578433' first='Landon' last='Scarrette'] (Northeastern H.S. 2025) would go on to score a career-high 30 points as Northeastern defeated Centerville 72-54. [player_tooltip player_id='2628156' first='Noah' last='Payne'] (Northeastern H.S. 2025) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the Knights. [player_tooltip player_id='2617854' first='Jace' last='Hollendonner'] (Centerville H.S. 2028), Kaden McCord (Centerville H.S. 2026), and Keith Plyley Jr. (Centerville H.S. 2026) each scored 11 points in the loss for the Bulldogs.
