Prep Hoops Indiana Class 1A #1 Kouts fell at the hands of Marquette Catholic 59-57. The Blazers avenged a 58-39 loss from earlier in the season. It wouldn’t have been possible without this explosive junior guard. Mays scored a game-high 24 points to lead Marquette Catholic to the upset victory. They will face Triton at North Judson High School on Saturday.

Marquette Catholic picked up a 63-41 win over Morgan Township on Wednesday night to move to 8-6 on the season. They only have one loss to a fellow Class 1A team though and that was #1 Kouts. Mays poured in a career-high 27 points, including four three-point shots, on Wednesday evening. The dynamic junior guard is now averaging 14.1 points per game for the Blazers.

As we continue to expand our rankings with each update, this 5’9″ point guard will eventually find himself include. Mays averaged 11.0 points per game as a freshman at Marquette Catholic and helped lead their young team to a Regional Championship. He is a talented playmaker and shot-creator both for himself and his teammates. Look for his game to continue to really take off as he physically develops and gets bigger/stronger.
